Elite Infinite Captians Edition.

I'm working on a mod and need help.

The overall plan is to make a mod that is
Captains edition
+ Infinite addon

However, the improvements i want to make are

overhauling the costs of infinite addon.

Overhauling the lists of equipment in stores.

Overhauling and improving all of the player ships.
Overhauling and improving all NPC ships, and creating an even bigger pool of random events.

now, what's my definition of 'improving'. Well generally in terms of difficulty level i'm happy with the difficulty that captains edition and infinite addon achieve.

It's like this : FTL is like ordering a pizza. You get a pizza, but you choose the toppings. Maybe you like spicy meat, maybe you're a vegetarian. Maybe you want a bigger pizza with extra cheese.
HOWEVER. It's always still a Pizza.

What i want to do with my over haul is make the differences between the races in and the ships and how they play *extreme*.

I did this mod before AE edition, and then almost all my work stopped working. Very frustrating.

My long term goals are to have it on the main CE webpage as an additional link.

I'm using superliminal to make the custom player ships, and progress is going great. The ships are behaving the way i want and i'm very happy with the progress. Editing the NPC ships however is proving more of a challenge.
I've organised all the weapons and drones and Subsystem slots that into groups by which race and sub-faction they belong to....on a text document.
I'm having difficulty actually implementing the changes to the weapons-lists in the NPC's themselves.

I'm also unsure as to the most efficient method of creating a .ftl file.

it only has 20 HP, so when it takes even 1 damage it's health bar instantly goes yellow. Great stuff. Fun to balance.

Well, it's a screenshot from years ago.
Again i didn't build the first version of the ship, bit i improved it. Notice the custom ''brain'' texture.

When it comes to the NPC's i want to over-haul what weapons and drones they are using, but also improve the layouts of the ships, their HP values, The 3 augments they have, etc etc.

So, for example, the rocks should spam missiles more. Engi should use more Mark II and Mark III weapons, etc. The slugs should be far more abusive with anti-crew-weapons. The lanius should breach more. etc etc.

I find the current Weapon/Drone lists used to generate NPC's bland and generic. There's no sense of flavour to them.

The help i specifically need now is simple.

How do i create and edit weapon-lists for NPC's in CE, and how do i precisely create an FTL file that is then easy for others to download and test.
