After learning how to do events, I'm logically going to move on towards creating a quest. In my quest concept, you will be asked to take part in a fleet action against a Lanius fleet where you will get to face some tough ships and get some nice rewards.

I was thinking of mixing in some player-made ships into the militia fleet since it is a hodge podge fleet essentially. They won't be functional for this particular quest, but will be present in the background. If anyone is willing to let me use their ships, please let me know here. I'll certainly appreciate it.

A few things to keep in mind for the sake of lore (though I am flexible):

- I would prefer the ships to be of the period the game is set in. Ships set in the future or the distant past would not make much sense.
- No non-FTL ships (like Star Trek, for instance)
- Be sure to provide a note about your ship's function so I can arrange it with a proper battle group (like a big carrier flanked by frigates, or a fighter with other fighters)

How about the Police Escort?



You could make it some sort of repurposed militia fighter (maybe paint the blue stripes yellow or green). After all, once war broke out even police ships are needed for combat. They could be in a massive swarm with other ships, like fighters or corvettes.

Feel free to use my hull art from any of my official mods or my hulls in the Shipyard, if you like.

I'll likely try a mix with the traditional Police Escort set-up (support ship, attack ship), Escorts (two attack ships guarding the flank of a bigger ship), and militia variants meant to fill in other roles. Thanks!

You're free to use any of mine.
Then again, considering I borrowed them from others and some are just recolors of existing ones, you might not find too much useful.
Do like the paint job I did on the Nebula Drifter. And the I really like the Anomaly hull as well.
The only custom thing I've done so far was the Triumvirate which is probably a bit too odd to fit.

So, this is some headcanon on my ships and evaluations based on hard mode AE:

The Askaryan is part of the Zoltan death cast fleet. It's an assassination ship sent to take out certain targets deemed a threat by the castes leaders. Use of the backup battey is important. Name based on a scientist dealing with much of the same things as cherenkov [Zoltan c]. Probably the strongest of these 4 ships. Could use some toning down, but I find the ship fun.

Strike Team Escort is 3 ships. 1 new federation interceptor, 1 new federation drone control frigate, and the engi republic shield vessel being escorted. I could give these ships in separate .pngs as well. They have to work together to keep systems repaired and crew alive, as losing any of the starting crew can be detrimental to the mission. It has a strong beginning, but the boss can be difficult and 1 mistake to crew can be game over. Weapon management and keeping the repair bomb is key.

The Juke is an advanced new federation multirole fighter. It's small and low on crew but it packs a good punch. Lacks a space for teleporter and backup battery, but those shouldn't be needed. It plays a lot like the stealth cruisers. It's pretty strong and blows through ships very fast early on.

The Kubaryana is a former slug diplomacy vessel refitted for combat. It now specializes in aggressive and manipulative negotions. This ships is sent to forcefully convert other races to the slug cause. Probably the most balanced of these 4 ships. Name based on a type of sea slug.

I've got a ship called the Raggedan that might fit.



She's put together from bits and pieces of various other Engi ships, with a single ion weapon, but large numbers of offensive drones. She'd likely work as support, with one or two floating in the back, with a swarm of drones around them.
