Neither Vhati nor I work on it anymore. Don't know about the other poeple who commented here, but I think it's safe to assume they don't, either.
So in short, yes, it is dead. Though I think Spektor's project is based off of Overdrive, at least going by the fact that he's also working with libGDX.

I am so much inspired by FTL that I dediced to try and recreate a version of the game myself. At first I thought; easy peasy, but no, hell it's hard! I'm just a simple webdeveloper and never programmed a game, learned much about patterns such as the State Machine, but still, very difficult. This is my attempt so far, programmed in (ugh) Flash. If I'm able to finish it, I might port it to something else using Haxe.
