@il8677
Double-click on main.py instead of modman.exe, or download the fixed exe

Look here.

That said, GMM is not really supported anymore, and it is recommended to instead use its successor - Slipstream Mod Manager

Hey, I have a slight problem, I want to download the infinite space mod, and I did, popped it in the mod file for GMM, but now when I try and run modman, it gives me an error, telling me that "this executable must be in the same folder as FTLGame.exe". GMM is in a file titled faster than light, although the application isn't actually in it, and it's in "My games"(I'm on windows seven). And the only other thing in the file is something called prof.sav, which wants me to download even more things to open it. I bought the vanilla game from steam, what should I do and what should I move?

You've put GMM into FTL's profile folder.
Also, you've likely downloaded an older version, since 1.7 doesn't have to be placed in FTL's directory, IIRC.
For it to work correctly, move GMM to Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Faster Than Light

Hey everyone,

I'm about to put out another version of IS, and I was wondering how to include information in the mod manager window for the selected mod. I apologize if this was already answered, this thread is pretty large, and I didn't go back through the posts to find it.

Thanks

I don't know if I've ever seen a mod that actually had any information in that window. I might not even notice it.

Or I wouldn't notice it if I, like many (and all should) didn't switch to the new mod manager that populates that information with the text in the first forum post for the mod after it's been out a week. Which in my mind is amazingly cool.

@DrkTemplar
I've discussed implementing this with Vhati sometime ago -- he wasn't really a fan though. Figured that the community wouldn't be using it that much / would be abusing it (by writing walls of text instead of brief summary).

IMHO, it'd be worth it to at least try it out.
