There are a few post about how to do it but none of them make sence to me.
I would be so thankful if someone would make a video about how to do it.

Thanks, Benjamin

What version of Mac OSX are you running? I would be happy to make a video, but it will take me a day or two because I have to test it across multiple OSX versions.

Thanks

Well, I'm not the person you're talking to, but I'm having problems as well. I have an OS X 10.7.5 and when I press the patch button, the mods don't install, so I'm looking to see if I did something wrong.

I kept trying and it did something. Although, what it did do was crash my game. I'm not sure if it's the mods or GMM but I'll try and find out.

Hey, try the following steps:

1) Navigate to your modman.exe folder.
2) Hold down shift and right click on a blank area. Choose "Open command window here".
3) Type in modman.exe and press your Enter key. Tell me what error (if any) it shows in console.

@Mechmon: modman.exe must be in the same folder as ftlgame.exe. If you use steam, try C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\FTL Faster Than Light\

Right ok i think i got it now, except now when it launches the little window with black background and white text pops up and then closes within seconds, so is it auto closing for me too?

This is what it says

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FTL Faster Than Light>modman.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FTL Faster Than Light

Most likely, the configuration file for modman.exe was not found. Are you sure everything is properly installed?

Looks like my first post will be asking for support! Haha!

Anyway, I'm on Mac and bought the game through Steam. I loosely followed the Mac guide but it only helped to a certain extent. I am able to launch Grognak's Mod Manager, then I click "Yes" to the "Did you purchase FTL through Steam?" prompt. After that, the window opens, but no mods appear.

I placed the /mods folder into the /Resources/ folder, the /Contents/ folder and the /FTL/ folder. None of them worked. I also placed all the files from the download into the correct directories (from what I can tell) except the modman.exe and the readme files.

Did anyone have this problem and was able to fix it?

Grognak!!! Can you please PM me please? I have an awkward issue and I am moderately computer savvy. Trying to understand this problem so I can resolve it and NORMALLY I do this on my own without anyone helping me out but... this is just awkward. You'll see what I mean.

Sorry for all those having problems with the Mac version. I'll try to see about releasing a new version after the holidays.

@X: Go ahead and PM me if you can't post the issue on the thread. (I can't imagine what would be "awkward" enough to not be able to post  )
