I have a problem with Slipstream.
I followed the instructions and everything was fine until i tried to patch a mod.
When I click on "Patch", this message appears :

Patching failed: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files (x86)\FTL\resources\data.dat (Accès refusé)

(Accès refusé = Access denied ;) )

I thought i have an obsolete version of Java, so I downloaded the latest version, but nothing has changed.
I need your help, great modder !

PS : Sorry if i do grammar errors, I'm french.

Salut, ZQFMGB. Have you tried running Slipstream as an Administrator?

Personally, I never install games that will be modded in Program Files, because it's protected. I use <drive>:\Games.

Salut !

Yes, I tried.
Before downloading the latest version of java, the same message appeared.
And now, the Mod Manager opens for one seconds and closes after.

Well, I've about exhausted my knowledge on this issue. The files in FTL\resources aren't set to Read Only, are they?

hey guys just bought FTL from steam today...wanna install a few mods but this slipstream doesn't seem to work. Game version is 1.5.13 I think and I have windows 7 64 bit. When I click on the exe a DOS like window opens for a split second and then disappears. I see no slipstream anywhere. Run it as an admin. Java seems to be ok.

I may have found a fix for that. Open up the command prompt (CMD) on windows. Then double click 'modman.jar'.

Redownload the mod, or everything. It's a bad file.

Hello, I run Xubuntu 16.04. Tried running the Slipstream Mod Manager and got the following error.

# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
# SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00007f7245cac009, pid=19168, tid=19196
#
# JRE version: OpenJDK Runtime Environment (9.0) (build 9-internal+0-2016-04-14-195246.buildd.src)
# Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (9-internal+0-2016-04-14-195246.buildd.src, mixed mode, tiered, compressed oops, g1 gc, linux-amd64)
# Problematic frame:
# C [libjava.so+0x1d009] JNU_GetEnv+0x19

Anyone know of a workaround?
