[SHIP] Saints Row, Playas!

After Zinyak's defeat and the ascension of the Third Street Saints to the galactic stage, the Boss of the gang decided that it was time to get this stuff started and go mess around in time.

And what better place to go than to the future to see what stuff they could loot and bring back? Well, they went quite far and ended up in a war between the Rebels and the Federation. That's how far.
Of course, a war just means these gang-bangers have more opportunity for murder and mayhem.


The playstyle of this ship is supposed to be a 4-man boarding team. It comes with an Artillery where they weaponise their energy drink Saint's Flow into a concentrated beam of liquid that does 30HP of crew damage and stuns enemies for 15 seconds. It also damages the systems it hits for 1 bar and has a 10% chance of causing a hull breach. That stuff is just nasty after all and Pierce won't divulge what's in it.
It also comes with dual basic lasers because that's what the ship has in terms of firepower.

I decided the best course of action in terms of "Pirate Augments" for Captain's Edition was that they're armed with Rock Plating. They're about looting and mayhem, not about breaking truces or taking on slaves. So piracy in general.

Lemme know what you think. The Saint's Flow Beam could use some changes but I'm not the sort to use artillery properly so I don't know what needs to be done so it's not a wasted augment slot.

Haven't played around with this one yet, just had a look at the artillery as that was what you inquired, and you're right. It needs something extra.

Considering you have a beam that can't be aimed manually, chance of a enemy crew member being hit is rather small, and when it does land a hit, it's negligible in terms of damage.
Personally, I'd say up crew damage to 2, and give it 1 system damage. It should still pierce zoltan shields that way, and even if it whiffs completely, you're still likely to get some system damage out of it. Not to mention it won't be completely useless against AI ships.

Alright so now it's updated to Version 2. The beam should be a bit more viable now.
