[SHIP/WEAPONS][AE/CE][v1.2] KFC Galactic

KFC Galactic
You're exploring the galaxy in your luxurious Kestrel Cruiser when suddenly you come across an intergalactic KFC restaurant.
Their engineers offer you some top-secret fried chicken technology to upgrade your ship with and to help you on your mission.

Features:
  • brand-spankin' new KFC-themed custom ship
  • two brand-spankin' new KFC-themed custom weapons
  • brand-spankin' new custom KFC-themed Artillery weapon
  • brand-spankin' new randomly-occurring restaurant event

The Colonel KFC Bucket Cruiser

"Cruise through space with your brand-spankin' new $24.99 16-piece meal from Kentucky Fried Chicken!"

The KFC Bucket replaces the Kestrel Cruiser (Type A) and comes installed with the following systems:
  • Shields (Lv. 2)
  • Engines (Lv. 2)
  • Weapons (Lv. 2)
  • Oxygen (Lv. 1)
  • Medbay (Lv. 1)
  • KFC Artillery (Lv. 1)
  • Mind Control (Lv. 1)
Subsystems:
  • Piloting (Lv. 1)
  • Doors (Lv. 1)
  • Sensors (Lv. 2)

KFC Artillery
Although the KFC Bucket Cruiser comes with improved sensors and included Mind Control, it also has a specialized built-in Artillery weapon!
It starts with a 50-second cooldown time that can be reduced by upgrading the Artillery system.

KFC Weapons Chicken Burst | KFC Flak Gun
The KFC Bucket Cruiser also comes installed with two Chicken Burst guns, also purchaseable in stores.
An additional weapon available for purchase is the KFC Flak Gun.

I hope you all enjoy this silly mod I've made. It's obviously nothing serious; just a small project my friend and I decided to make for fun.
Even if you don't download and play it, I hope this gave you a laugh or two! :D

To install:
  1. Download Slipstream Mod Manager if you don't already have it.
  2. Download the mod file (KFC Galactic.ftl) with the link above.
  3. Save the mod file to Slipstream's mods directory.
  4. Run Slipstream and patch KFC Galactic.

I dunno if this is the fastest turnaround, considering lines at KFC being rather slow, but here's my video run:

I guess my biggest criticism might be that the Artillery needs to either be a Burst like the Flak or only fires 3 shots.
And maybe the starting guns are a bit too overpowered with their small breach chance.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I think reducing the artillery to 3 shots is probably a good idea. I will also look towards balancing the starting weapons a little more. Awesome video by the way! :D

Anything with two Dual Lasers is going to have a good start. Not sure about the finish though, but dual lasers... one of the best weapons ever, only matched by Advanced Flak (3 shots, 1 power, slight chance of not hitting what you aimed for)
So keep that in mind. Use the Shrike or the Carnelian as your limit. Everyone says those ships are the strongest in the game, so keep it around that mark.
