After a bit of an absence of creating ship mods, I've decided it was time for another ship mod. This happened during the time I was making the showcase of the Lanius Bombers and naturally we (me and Federation Scum) ended up talking a bit. I brought up the mention of wanting to create a Zoltan ship, and after some talking back and forth the ship started to take shape. Introducing : The Gavel
This Zoltan lawbringer relies on the latest beam technology to destroy its enemies and relies on drone tech to keep it's impenetrable shield up.

This ship is all about keeping the Zoltan super shield up until the focus beam (length of 35) can start doing work. Considering the weapon its design, early game that will mean a period of around 30 seconds where your weapon can't do anything. As the first shot will be blocked by even a single shield layer. The second one will be able to pierce it and the third one will most likely be all you need to really cripple your enemy.
Which brings us to this ships defense, consisting of 3 parts.
[*]"High" starting engines will allow you to already dodge a decent amount of shots.
[*]The reverse ion field will protect you versus pesky ion weaponry.
[*]Double shield drones to restore the shields you have lost. Only one can be powered at the start and the second one is a bit of an investment.

The ship replaces Zoltan A.
The ship has an artillery mount and weapon for those playing with Captains Edition, CE is required to use and buy the artillery but is otherwise not required to play with this ship. The artillery is weapon is the Verdict Focus Beam found on the Zoltan A and B.
