[AE][SHIP] The Flying Brick

So.
I made a ship.
A brick with some engines and a helm glued on.
Boredom does some weird shit to ya, man.

It's essentially harder version of the Kestrel B, which it also replaces.

It has a level 4 backup battery, which can be upgraded to level 10, and only 1 normal reactor power.

I would change the reactor prices, but it appears they're hardcoded :C

Anyway, besides the battery and reactor, its basically still the Kestrel B.

First mod, at least use lube.

this is actually not a bad mod for your first, good job. and custom hull graphics to, yet again, not bad for first.

I know having over 25-30 reactor power crashes the game when going into ion storms. Have you any idea how having such a highly upgraded backup battery affects the game when going into an ion storm?

I don't know for sure, but since the battery isn't lowered from ion storms, maybe it would be fine?

Test it! The back up battery idea was my loop around for the energy +25 problem but I can't test it (not sure how to get systems above cap level and/or other stuff) and I want to know if my theory is correct. :D

So, 25-power reactor, 10-power battery, go into ion storm and see if the game shits itself.

I can do that.

I love the way you think.
Stay awhile here and you can be a promising modder. :)

welp, it appears the game does in fact shit itself when you have a 25-power reactor and a battery that gives 20 extra power in an ion storm.

Time to go bug the hell out of subset to fix the bug.

Not bad, i like how the helm connects to the rest of the ship. Maybe a new floor image?

I like this ship - it's a shame it's not worth it to upgrade the battery further...

If you can't change reactor costs, can you at least change the battery upgrade costs?
