[MOD] Ship recolors/details (graphics)

I like the ship designs of the vanilla FTL, but I wanted to add some minor details to make them less schematic.

If you redrew or recolored some of your ships, please share. It would be neat to pilot the ships which you've changed visually ;) .

Right now I only have The Kestrel and The Torus.

They are in this post as PNG files, so you will have to put them in your resources.dat yourself using the ftldat tool.

If you don't know how, here's the whole resource.dat with them included: http://www.mediafire.com/?c96db8322d272h6

Backup your /resources/resource.dat file and replace it with the downloaded one.

Nice job! I might try this with some of the interiors. Those empty rooms are boring.

Ah yeah, interior graphics would be nice too, I may end up drawing them soon. While white floors with grid are okay, I would love to see dark rooms with lights and props to aid the atmosphere of the game :).

As far as I can tell, only rooms that have a 'use' (like the Engine Room or Shield Room) can have a 'background' graphic. Much as I'd love to add hazard stripes to my rooms with external airlocks... of course, you can add whatever you want to rooms that have a purpose, so go crazy.

I suppose you could engage in some sort of hackery for it in empty hall areas, but that would be kind of silly.

really nice concept. btw if you cant get the empty rooms changed dont mess with the rooms with systems. it would look worse to have a wonderfully detailed room then a stupid default room next to it :( .
but seriously keep up the good work id love to download a version of this mod with reskins of ALLthe ships and their varients
