When you come aboard, the ship is heavily damaged. It has very low amount of energy, but the shields and weapons used to be really powerfull. It was drifting through space for hundreds of thousands years unmanned.
You are not going to have enough power for everything from the start. Do you want to shoot those giant cannons under the ships belly? You will have to turn off life support and shields for a bit. Dont expect a milion year old ship, even if its an Alteran one to be in top shape. I suggest investing everything you can in power and not using shields in the first sector or so. The ships still got plenty of hull and can withstand a lot!

Starting equipement:
    Damaged power reactor ( power level 2 )
    Three Big Cannons (Ancient artilery lasers mk1)
    Storage full of junk (drone parts, fuel, but not much scrap)
    Lots of unqualified people ( 5 crew members - all human)
    Courage ( hopefully )
    All systems broken (=low level)

Nice ship sprite.

You need to re-design the interior images, i prefer not to see em instead of seeing deformed ones. I think everyone thinks the same.

I dont like the size of the rooms, specially if u put a teleporter in a 4x4 room (if that is wat is it that big room in the middle). That is non sense, since u will never find a room biger than 2x2 to board.

I cant see the pilot room anywhere ¿? or is it that big room with the pilot control on the center¿?

Seeing the loadout and systems without trying the ship, its clearly that u did a really op ship, i imagine this is intended?? i mean, that is wat u wanted? (a style ship like "i kill everything in my way and i take a cup of coffe while i watch my enemies die..) lol.

Anyways, im always happy to see a stargate mod, i wish u luck!.

First, thanks for feedback. This post was more inteded as a snapshot of what I am currently working on (my first-ever FTL modification)
I have almost all interior images done for now, when Ill finish them all I will upload it here.
The room layout is partialy based on the real ship from the TV series. The big room without a system represents the stargate room, and the 3x3 room with interior image is the command bridge (pilot room). Since the ship in the TV show didnt have any teleporters, it would be simple to place it to the stargate room, but Im not quite sure yet.
The ship is meant to come with a full modification, stronger enemies and lore. Therefore the ship's systems are already almost fully researched, with the exception to the reactor. In the TV plot the ship had almost no energy, and when they finaly charged it, the damaged power distribution system had big problems with powering most of the systems.
If you think that in the game you could just use all scrap to upgrade the reactor, I want to make this more difficult in the mod, I want people to feel like "we have really good shields, weapons, engines, whatever but we cant use it because of the power"

Great idea, art fits in well with FTL too! Some custom room interiors and station placement would help as far as functionality goes, and that boss laser is nowhere to be found on the ship (somewhere in the upper left hand corner of superluminal's editor window?). Can't wait to see how it progresses!

I didnt notice u have only shields maxed, so in that senses the ship is perfect as it is. I love the idea and i like the approach u did on the tv aspects of the ship, as a stargate fan xD.

So I've finished interiors, the ship should be now fully playable.
It now replaces Kestrel.

Whenever I launch the game with this and the Infinite space mod, the game crashes whenever I click start. Any ideas?

This mod is great. Is it still being worked on at the current time, or have you moved on to other projects? The ship is just a little too large, and is not fully transparent when on the screen. This is mostly obvious when jumping. I just love this mod and wish I could figure out how to fix those two things.

Hopefully you keep working on it. Thanks for making it. Having a real blast.

Hey there, I stopped playing FTL so I am not working on the mod anymore :(
The few graphical glitches i knew about were hard to fix. But if I'll start playing FTL again, I'd like to have it fixed.

The Infinite space issue - when I made the ship, these 2 mods were fully compatible, i used to play this ship with Infinite space mod and so far had no issues. If I start working on the mod again, this will be the very first thing I want to deal with.

ftlstargate: Im happy you like it :) Originally I planned full game modification, with stargate races, weapons, stories.
