I suggest updating your Non-EL Enemy Loadouts addon to version 1.26, given you are using EL 1.26. Don't know if that is the source of your problem, but it can't hurt.

CE implies that the human crew is actually a broad range of different "Humanoids", not only earthly humans but individuals with human-like physiology from all over the galaxy. Basically like in star trek, where a broad portion of the involved races are basically humans with antennas (and simple makeup). So yeah, blue human people are to be expected in CE.

The semi transparent Slugs where actually meant to look like they cloak when walking or in combat. That seemed to confused a lot of people and was hard to get across beyond the visuals, so they no longer do this since 1.265 I think.

Concerning the Non-EL Enemy Loadouts Addon:
Your mod load order looks ok, but maybe you really have to update the addon. I'm not entirely sure if this is the cause of the weapons still appearing.

- Effector Drone reworked to match new AE effector style
- R4V3-0N's Militia Defender ship model integrated

- Troopship crews are generally equipped with Adaptive Gel Suits now
- Civ goods can now be sold to traveling traders as intended
- About a thousand new crew names added
- The FTL Fuel Recycler augment has a slightly lower overall fuel output now
- A couple of Lanius events added
- Some new ship classes for the Militias added

I'd love if that was possible, I'd have written up a hundred Mantis names long ago, maybe defined a Rock language in greater detail as well. But now, race specific a names aren't really a thing. All you can control is which names are applied to humanoid males and which to females.

Nope, there no real plans for that, the game is basically done.

CE Additional Music Addon 1.266
- Removed the track for Federation sector due to a problem with looping it

And in case anyone is wondering what all the possible EL prefixes do: There is a wikia page on that now.

Sorry for taking forever to update, busy weekend, but thank you guys so much for getting back to me!

Well, updating Non-EL Enemies to 1.26 didn't do it for me, all enemies still have EL. :(

But thanks for explaining the colorful variety of humans and the transparent slugs, I was sure that was a bug so I don't think I'd mind it much now that I know it was intended (but yeah, was confusing until explained lol).

I'm about to DL the new CE RP & CE, so I'll update here if it for some reason fixes the EL enemies problem (don't know why it would, but I know very little about modding).

*EDIT*: i actually updated a few different mods along with the main CE & RP, but sadly my enemies still all have EL guns/drones.

Could it be that the EL addon (for CEI) is 1.264b and the Non-EL Enemies is 1.26? OH or maybe that the texture pack is 1.261 and not 1.26 or 1.264b?

The addon will work with any version of EL. I tried your load order to verify that this works and encountered no problems. Do you have AE enabled? Maybe try putting the addon at the very last position of your load order. Or re-download it again. I don't know what else I can tell you, I can't reproduce the problem.

EL Texture Pack 1.266
- Changes of CE 1.266 integrated

CE Endless Loot 1.266 for CE and CE Endless Loot 1.266 for CE Infinite
- Changes of CE 1.266 integrated
- "Repeater" can no longer apply to artillery lasers
- "Boosted" now counts as epic
- Some other prefixes adjusted
- Many more weapon prefixes can now also apply to drones

While I really, really, really appreciate you taking the time to try to help, now I'm getting frustrated. I went ahead and reinstalled my game (still version 1.5.4 AE) and reinstalled slipstream, then made sure I unchecked 'read only' on the 2 files in the ftl resource foulder so slipstream could use them (if I don't, slipstream says it can't access them and won't work), then patched with no mods in slipstream to create vanilla backups, then put in and patched this exact load order:

Which slipstream didn't seem to have any problems with, then start the game only to encounter the problem that initially prevented me from playing CE at all before this trouble with the Non-EL Enemy Loadouts Addon, which is loading the CE load screen (ship) to full then game crashing without any errors. The problem before was that I was missing CE Additional Music Infinite Compatibility Patch from my load order. As soon as I downloaded that and put it in it's proper place, I could go through the load screen into the game without fail. Now, I've checked numerous times that I have the right load order, and of course what I posted above is copied directly from my current modorder.txt in slipstream. So now I don't even know what's going on. Back to square one, or negative one I guess. :(

Oh, and I've been meaning to ask you this:
The event on the final sector where if you beat a ship the text afterwards says something along the lines of :
"We're busy setting up a new repair station..."
That's not a CE event is it?
Because it is broken, no new repair beacon shows up...
