After all, you have those "not surviving prisoners" etc, so it shouldn't be too incoherent, that pirates/slavers show some human corpses scattered around. As for all other factions (Mantises, Rebels, Slugs, etc), it's actually *always* coherent with the crew type on board. Unless you think about colours of suit ETC, but I think that when you were just blown up in super-heated fuel explosion and sucked into space, your skin/suit may appear a little "generic"... For someone catching a glimpse of your corpse, for less than 2 seconds before you disintegrate for good.
If corpses were implemented into CE, in order to make it not have to be added into every ship after an update, I think the only ships that should have this are ships with specific text like the slaver event. Just to make yo feel even worse.

I try to give visibility to the assets of other people that are included in the mod. They are all listed in the OP and such. I guess the people that contributed could also appear on the title screen... maybe that should happen from the next release onwards.
Estel wrote:No, it is not true, at least in the unlikely case that someone asks meI think that CE gives all proper credits where it is applicable + some more. Including everyone that ever did any smallest mod using vanilla FTL resources in the title screen (without any disrespect - I think small mods, sometimes, bring the most brilliant ideas) would just clutter it and make it *very* incomprehensible.
In my humble opinion, the only people that are included in the title screen should be ones that created something totally from scratch (i.e. not based on actual vanilla FTL content) - like it's done with additional music. For all others, there is credits section in OP, credits in SMM mod description, etc...
Otherwise, we're getting dangerously close to Oscars-like "thank the entire f... world", as we should put original FTL authors in every credits too, then authors of all FOSS stuff they used to created FTL, then authors of FOSS stuff that was used to create said FOSS stuff... We would be only around middle of the credits when hitting Linus Torvards and Bill Gates, probably. sorry for a bit of irony, but that "ego-stuff" in corpses thread got me irritated, a little.
I was thinking maybe you could put the names of everyone who contributed to the Captain's Edition into the actual in game credits somewhere... A lot of mods for other games do things like that.

Here's my personal opinion on that... The title screen will get cluttered if you include everyone's names who ever did anything. It may be debatable what is a "small" or "big" contribution to CE too, so I think everyone can be included on the OP here and in the credits. And that way nobody feels left out.
If you really want to also you could even put at the top of the OP, right under Troubleshooting and the download links, a short thanks to everyone who has contributed to CE, encouragement to check out the credits and those people's individual mods at the end of the OP, and as a bonus an invitation for more people to contribute their ideas to CE. Tell people to PM you if they have something cool and consistent with vanilla that they think could be included in CE, though it may require a liittle additional work on their part to get their "mod" working for CE. If it's a ship mod or event mod for example a little extra xml editing may be necessary. I would really like to encourage more people to contribute stuff to CE

And if anyone feels like they haven't been given proper credit, you forgot or something, they shouldn't feel bad about PMing you and requesting to be listed in the credits, within reason of course. And hopefully having nice looong credits will make people appreciate even more how much work has gone into CE. Trolls won't say things were done in 10 minutes.

Also, you could even mention the reverse, all CE assets are open source and free to use by anybody as long as they give credit to CE.
