Hey, There's a bug that I encountered while playing with this setup:
| Better Planets and Backgrounds
| CE Resource Pack
| FTL Captain's Edition
| CE BPaB Compatibility Patch
| CE Additional Music Addon
| CE Infinite Addon
| CE Additional Music Infinite Compatibility patch
| EL Texture Pack
| CE Endless Loot Addon for CE Infinite
I'm not good at explaining things, so...

I have everything checked,
But there's not better backgrounds, just the default pictures.

I can confirm that it is working. There is a slight graphics bug in Mac when in a regular nebula.
Look at the background; it's squarish. It's working. In my Windows computer, the nebula is flawless.
EDIT:
2 new errors in OP.

Is there a patch/any way to disable the dynamic portraits? I feel like it alters the game's atmosphere. Thanks!

are you referring to the portraits CE adds, showing the faces of crewmembers? if so this is probably what you're looking for

Optional. Reverts changes that CE makes to crew portraits. Courtesy of Russian Rockman. Has to be loaded after Captains Edition to work properly.

Found something in CE Infinite.
When I got to the Exit Beacon, the normal menu pop-up appears. I chose to catapult myself near to the Federation base, so I paid 10 fuel for that.
But I decided I want to travel more, so I went to another area, until I got a quest. The quest was far away but I went to complete it anyway, when I was about to return to the exit beacon, it was also the exact time that the rebel fleet caught up. And then the "Rebel Fleet Caught Up Exit Beacon" pop up window appeared, asking me if I want to jump to deep space, OR PAY ANOTHER 10 FUEL TO CATAPULT MYSELF TO FED BASE.
I already paid 10 fuel, so I think it's better to not ask that again.

Isn't "Explore the asteroid field" just a bit too brutal to the player? Not only will you take a number of automatic damage points via event, but then you'll be pelted so quickly with asteroids that, unless you have 3 shield bubbles, you'll take persistent damage until you finally jump away. It's rage-inducing. I'd be fine with one OR the other... but both is extreme.
