Most assuredly yes. I'll be updating ALL of my ships eventually. I don't know how long the entire process will take or even when I'll have any ships done. I will probably start with an easier one than the Black Opal, though, as it's a bit more complex than some of my other ships like the Asteroid or the Pyro.

some mods i get i cant seem to get to work... i can download it and it comes in a file but when i open it, nothing says to extract or nowhere in the file is an .ftl file. :x :x :x

Have you tried using the file directly?
Because it seems to download as an .ftl file.

Now, will an AE version of this ship be made 5thHorseman? Or are we a year too late? :lol:

Haha yeah I do technically still have plans to update this ship to AE. I have no idea how well it'll play currently. I suspect somewhere between "Technically yes but it's way not balanced" to "My game crashes when I try to load it."

One big problem is my "play" time is almost totally taken up making YT videos of stuff (and editing them). Whenever I get 6-8 videos in the can so I have a week of leeway, something in real life (blast it) comes up and sucks all that time away.

Not bad problems to have, really (I play too many video games and have no spare time) but there you go :)

And to answer your question, note in the original post (and in the original post of all my mods) it says to try right clicking the link and picking "save as"

I don't zip up my FTL files as they're already compressed. Seems redundant.

Although I know some people do that and it's really annoying to download an FTL file, load it up and find out that the person put the actual files (and the original file) into the FTL file itself.

Ok, given that I've managed to understand more or less how to mod/edit events, I was able to update this ship to AE, the only thing that held me back on completing the update was which event I needed to change, but yesterday I gave a look and got a hint on what to do.
