Re: Slipstream Mod Manager v1.9.1 (2018-01-07)

I fixed it! I took all the files from Slipstream out of their folder and mixed them in with the normal FTL files. Bizarre. But congratulations??? Slipstream ought to work from *any* location, and I don't see how FTL's folder would be special. Another reason Slipstream can fail to find its own locat...

Re: Slipstream Mod Manager v1.9.1 (2018-01-07)

whenever i try to patch it says something like that: patch failed .java bufferunderflow error [...] it has never done that before After verifying the game files, have SMM delete its own backups, and make sure you aren't dealing with a specific faulty mod. If you see anything interesting in the log ...

Re: Slipstream Mod Manager v1.9.1 (2018-01-07)

Can someone send me a mediafire link to SMM because the current one doesn't seem to be working :( Download links in the OP ought to take you to SourceForge with a 5 sec sountdown. If you're not prompted to save somewhere, that page has a "Problems Downloading?" button that offers a direct...

Re: Meta data missing from main exe on Windows

Warning: Platforms vary. On Windows, metadata can be embedded inside an exe. On Linux, FTL's got a basic launch script that, in turn, points to 32/64 bit binaries. I don't know if there's even a place for metadata. On OSX, I don't remember what the true executable is, but everything's inside bundle ...

Re: [Tool] Superluminal 2.2 - FTL Ship Editor

By chance could you get Superluminal on windows to recognize java 9 as java? [...] Slipstream fixed this All I had to do was rebuild my executables with a newer release of Launch4J . Java 9 changed its versioning scheme and started using different registry entries to announce its presence, so the l...

Re: Questions here: an inquiry thread! [Updated Sep 15th, 2014]

1. Can I have events activate them instead of only using them in advance? The <mod:etc> tags are only meaningful to Slipstream. FTL never sees them, only the result of their modifications to the XML. They make mods more flexible and mutually compatible but do not add features to the game itself.
