Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL: Overdrive

headshake.jpg Here's an idea - why don't you run daily scrum meetings on skype and take it agile? Simply talk shit out as you encounter it. If you're going with Java, the game will be rendered in a Canvas anyway, so it won't matter even if you use Swing for the surrounding gui, but it seems like yo...

Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL: Overdrive

A mix of XML and Lua depending on whether more resources or more functionality is needed. Sorry for saying it incorrectly. I didn't mean "What language should mods be written in?" but "Let's decide what language mods should be written in." I agree that we should use XML, but I'm...

Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL: Overdrive

Basically, the whole point of mental/physical split was that the "mental" would hold the crewman's attained skills and such, and "physical" - qualities like HP, visuals, etc. Though it wouldn't influence vanilla FTL too much, it might be of some use for modders... I can't think ...

Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL: Overdrive

Finally finished reading all those posts that were posted in the last 9 month. Turns out, you don't need to be a BlitzGirl to do such things ;-) Of course I'm not going to reply to everything that happened in that time. Here are my thoughts on some of the things. That would require Overdrive to put ...

Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL: Overdrive

Starting everything from scratch? Ok... :(

I haven't read all of those pages yet. What are the thoughts on multiplayer? On one hand implementing multiplayer is PITA, but on the other hand implementing multiplayer after singleplayer is mostly done will be even more PITA.

Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL: Overdrive

Hi guys. You probably don't remember me, but I was one of the first contributors to this project. I left it in October because of a vacation, but after I returned I didn't have time for it. Today I received an email from github about Kiloku's pull request. To my surprise, I found that this thread is...

Re: [TOOL]FTLEdit: FTL Ship editor [v0.88] (Please test!)

data.dat and resources.dat are in your FTL folder. For me it's C:\program files\FTL\resources\data.dat

Can you give me a step-by-step explanation of how to extract the files?

Get a better antivirus program?
