Also I figured out how to make the railgun projectiles travel faster. Would a faster moving projectile be harder to hit by a defense drone?

Upside of this is that all of my weapons that use vanilla assets work fine, so It must be something with the sound file or folder structure.

You can't, no - changing that number has no effect sadly. The actual cooldown depends on how many Zoltan Shield layers you already have: the first pop is around 8 seconds, but if you already have 4 layers that 5th one takes closer to 20 seconds. Oh. The main issue with the Shield Drone is that it requires 3 power and is less useful than a Defense Drone I on average, which only requires 2 power. Like the Defense II it can block things the Defense I cannot, but it's also only up every 8 seconds at best while a Defense I can fire every second and...

You can find the weapons in blueprints.xml and dlcBlueprints.xml ; the same places you would append your custom weapons.
