Re: AI ships jump away without pilot at the helm

One thing that would probably help would be if there were some visual indication that a station is manned. Say, outline the room (or the station icon) in green or something. A lot of people are getting caught out by this "cockpit still counts as manned even if the pilot is getting his face smas...

Re: This ship is bananas (B A N A N A S)

Yeah, Easy is just a little bit overgenerous with scrap.

It'd be nice if there was a difficulty level between Easy and Normal, where you got Normal-level rewards but Easy-level enemies. Rename the current "Easy" to "Trivial" or something.

Re: Suggestion for The Last Stand

If you don't have stealth, ideally you'd have a crew teleporter and the wherewithal to take out most of the flagship's crew in the first phase. If you do that then the second phase becomes defensively trivial, since the ship can't dodge or repair its systems. That said, my first victory in the game ...

Re: Missiles not an option?

As others have noted, you really want to get something to back up your missile launchers so you don't need to use just them to kill enemy ships. In the Rock Cruiser's case, your best option is likely to be a crew teleporter -- shops seem to sell systems more often than they sell weapons, crew, or dr...

Re: Question About Manning Stations

Manning shields is only useful if the enemy is attacking fast enough that recharge time is a problem. Thus they're most useful in asteroid fields and against anti-ship drones. Otherwise, typically enough time will elapse between the enemy's volleys for your shields to naturally recover on their own.

Re: Fire Beam useless?

No, it can't; that's the only thing that fire has over breach. Breach weapons pierce shields, though, which is the biggest problem with the fire beam. Basically what I'm saying is, if your priority is to inconvenience your enemies as much as possible, use shield-piercing breach weapons. If your prio...

Re: Fire Beam useless?

Hissatsu has it -- the fire beam is for preventing enemy crew from repairing systems as readily, not for directly damaging them. It slows the enemy down, makes repairs harder, and if you happen to have a Rockman boarding party then it's pretty danged awesome. Otherwise, don't use it unless you have ...

Re: Boarders ignore alternate paths

Thanks for the report and the clear screenshot. You seem to be effective at finding quirks in the system. If you could please post any future bug reports to our official tracker: https://getsatisfaction.com/ftlgame you'll really make it easier on me to get these fixed before they fall into obscurit...

Boarders ignore alternate paths

If a boarder is attacking a door, and you open an alternate route to where they want to go, they won't stop attacking the door. Case in point: http://derakon.dyndns.org/~chriswei/temp2/ftl11.png Even though there's a door right next to him he's still trying to break down the one just to his south.

Re: Hull Breach, What does it cause?

Think of them as being like fire that doesn't spread; the net effect is similar.
