This is impossible. To elaborate slightly, this is currently not possible with the most commonly used modding methods (XML modding). It's certainly theoretically possible, but it's a lot more likely to be implemented if one of the developers of the game decides they like the idea and choose to impl...

It would feel let down if I surrendered a ship and didn't get to kill the enemy boarding party, the fighting EXP is nice. When you surrender a ship, there is no longer any interactivity between you and the enemy ship. If they could teleport back, then why couldn't you board them post battle... it j...

Aside from Steam ... I'm not presently having an issue. But I'm yet to test it on the ancient Mac here.
