Re: Ghosts of the Federation

I'm on summer break, so I can guarantee at least two updates this summer. Next chapter will involve some serious Advanced Edition shenanigans.

Re: Ghosts of the Federation

A wall opened, and they entered a room with a long glass screen and a few strange consoles lining the walls, each with a Lanius manning it. It was close enough to a bridge to almost be comforting. The screen at the front of the bridge showed a highly magnified image of a Rebel frigate, the screen ad...

Re: Ghosts of the Federation

Brant woke up in darkness. She was lying flat on a table, and her arms, legs, and neck were fastened to it. But hey – she woke up. She was in a Rebel brig. Or…her own? Had the captives broken free and seized the ship? No. She was…no, where was she? What was going on? The…Magna Sector. The Lanius. Th...

Re: Ghosts of the Federation

Brant checked their sensor. The survivor aboard the freighter was slowly on the move, and had just entered what seemed one of the cargo holds. She targeted the transporter for the corridor he’d just left, hoping to avoid getting a belly full of plasma; even if this was an engi, it was a needless ris...

Re: Ghosts of the Federation

I love how this is still going on for several years after the fact. Lol yeah :P Job and other writing projects get in the way, and on my best day I'm not a particularly swift writer. I've found it nice to keep coming back to over these two years. A few minutes and a tiny bit more intoxication later...

Re: Ghosts of the Federation

A little mini-update to tide you over. Curious to know what you think; I'm glad people like this fic, but I'm not sure if this is the sort of thing they read it for. I know recent chapters have been awfully talky and this section is no exception, but I can promise action in the next update. They’d g...

Re: Ghosts of the Federation

“God damn – how much did you have to bone Andrews for this promotion, love? Because you sure didn’t get it for your brains,” McRee said with apparently genuine frustration. “First off, I know we’re going to die soon, whether because you kill us or because someone blows this ship up, so you’ve lost a...

Re: Ghosts of the Federation

Here's half of what I have written for the next chapter. I'll post the rest, which I'll hopefully have finished, in the next few days. Enjoy! --------------- Ozzog begged them to reconsider. Brant hadn’t even known slugs had tear ducts, let alone the capacity to weep in response to duress, until she...

Re: The Rebel's Secret Weapon

I like how other ships at least fire their long-range cannons at you sometimes in Advanced Edition. Slowly, ever so slowly, they're learning.
