I hope that this wasn't abandoned. The 3D hexagonal shield - with smaller hexagons and thicker lines - would be perfect thing to polish the diamond ;)

@Estel Huh, the geometry save works fine on Windows, and there should be no differences between platforms in this regard. Weird. Of course if your battery gets hacked, the events are negated as well. But who uses that system? Me, all the time. That's why I was able to win few times on CE hard (in fact, all the wins I had battery) - nothing beats putting 4 temporary power bars into things that require single-use, then get loc...

Definitely one of the best 3rd party ships out there, and ''included-in-canon'' for me. Albeit it have quite easy start (but not easier than some other, default vanilla ships) due to rocks and cool artillery, it gets balanced soon enough.
