I've found the size of ships to be sometimes relevant, but not more than other components of ship layout (ease of venting, 2 vs 3 square medbay). Enjoying this so far. The lack of crew healing and doors leads to some interesting tactics-- dodging missiles and bombs by sending crew out of the room, turning off O2 to put out fires, etc. ASB at the start is also a nice touch to keeps players from restart scumming. A common trick is depowering a weapon partway through its firing animation to, for example, fire only 2 shots from a BL2. Not sure if this is as well known, but I discovered that weapons can even depowered before they fire their first shot if you're fast enough. This still counts for weapon training...

I'm probably too late, but in this situation I'd run BL2/BL2/Flak 1/HL1 and not necessarily buy the weapons preigniter. The reasoning is that with 2 reloaders, you already have a fast weapon setup that can get a volley of 10 projectiles into the enemy weapons every 8 seconds. So you fire faster than...

Are there plans for a version for Twinge Balance Mod, or a way to automatically generate the xml from the game code so it works in general?
