It would indeed be smart to change the artillery disclaimer to, say, "If you save and quit, you'll need to load the mod at goo.gl/BE02it in order to reload that save (you can disable it before a new game)".

Thanks for your work. I might not boot up FTL as much as I used to (I go on seasons or something like that), but be sure that every time I do, I check for updates on sMPK, and I always will, you champ. Mod order shouldn't be an issue, but I too will look into it regardless. Maybe I was just imaginin...

sMPK-CE-Augmented should be loaded after sMPK-CE. Funny thing that happened to me: Bought the bounty hunter badge/radio/whatever it's called, used it on a sector entry beacon.
