I was just wondering of that's something that can be modded into the game. I'm happy to work out how to do it; but I'd like some kind of indication that it's possible before I sink a whole lot of time learning about how modding works in FTL. I've been thinking about changing a couple of things to make missiles more viable... One idea that I'd like to try out is to make missile weapons not lose charge when they are powered down. i.e., if the missile weapon has had power for long enough to be ready to fire, then you can take reactor power...

You could always just try to save missiles or use strictly laser missiles till the last sectors or the really hard bosses. That's a fair enough thing to do, but if you aren't using the missiles for the majority of the game, it's generally better to sell your missile weapons (and sell your missiles ...

I've still haven't personally experienced the never-able-to-fire pattern problem caused by the flagship alternating between weapon hacking and stealth, but I do think such a pattern is a bit anti-fun . Jumping and returning is a viable strategy to overcome the problem, but that doesn't mean it isn't...

Well, in some sense it is unlucky that they hacked your oxygen system, but I don't think that's a good example to show that it is too luck based.
