Re: Weapon timing, an idea
No idea why you instantly jumped to calling people trolls, and generally reacting in a hostile fashion, when there was literally one, single person, whose reponse was in the least bit humorous, if inappropriate. I guess your description of what you want could have been a little clearer - I, for one...

Re: Weapon timing, an idea
As a final note, who here plays without autofire and pausing? Because that is the only true way to enjoy this game. Otherwise you are lying if you say you like it.

Re: Weapon timing, an idea
What is wrong with you people? I don't have a problem with the skill level. Yes the game is easy, but if you need to click more buttons to give yourself a challenge that is just you. This is another version of this topic. Me: Hey guys I'm not from around here, do you know if there is a coffee shop n...

Re: Weapon timing, an idea
Even if this was in the game it wouldn't be as useful as you think it is. Shots miss. Beams should only fire when shields are down, which isn't always "3 seconds after the lasers fire" and is never "when the lasers fire." I can see the appeal of the idea, I really can. But aimin...

Re: Weapon timing, an idea
You can do it in FTL already... Just don't lock the weapon onto a room so that it doesn't fire as soon as it recharges. Wait for your laser burst to charge up, fire it, then follow up with beam after shields are down. By that logic autofire is a redundant feature. I would use what I described in mo...

Re: How many games did it take for you to win?
I was extremely lucky...with no cloaking, teleporter, or pre-igniter I beat the boss on my first try with the Kestrel, first game ever. Four shields, 6 or 7 engines (can't remember), 2 burst laser mk II, and an Ion Blast Mk. II. I entered the second and last stages with less than 50% hull...luck Th...

Re: How many games did it take for you to win?
Are you spending a lot of scrap on missiles? I made that mistake when I was new. I maybe buy 5 in a game if I am unlucky, usually I don't have to buy any. You don't even need to use them usually until sector 3 unless the enemy ship has a perfect set up. 2 points of damage is still cheaper than 1 mis...

Re: Jump after beating the final boss
I am almost positive that so long as they blow up before you actually lose, you win. I seem to recall a post somewhere in this forum about that where the devs commented that you shouldn't lose the game if the flagship blows up. That would imply that this could be considered a bug. I am totally posi...

Weapon timing, an idea
Okay, I have no programming skill, so I have no idea how feasible this is. Could someone make a mod that makes it so you can delay firing a weapon so that you can time your shots right on autofire regardless of their natural wait speed. An example of what I mean is if you have a beam weapon that fir...
