Re: Weapon timing, an idea
I mainly derive fun out of coming up with the strategy, so the clicking for firing in the same pattern all the time is the one thing that gets redundant for me. It does sort of add a level of strategy though where I try to get weapons that fire in the right pattern without any assistance from me, b...

Re: Your most powerful ship?
I don't have a screencap, but Osprey with level four artillery beam, three BL2s and a couple of autoreloaders - it was a (literally) a blast. Combine with maxed shields, def drone and solid evasion (some 45%) - NOTHING stood a chance. Also, these couple of beauties, of which I have screencaps: http:...

Re: What is your favourite ship - and why?
I used to like Fed A, but it turned out to be kinda boring after a while; it's just too much a ship-annihilating juggernaut without too many things to do, and after playing it for a while, you just know what to do to win the game. And usually, I win the game with it (given that RNG doesn't TOTALLY s...

Re: 2 Things I need to say.
...take lots of breaks because the game is pretty rough until you've got the hang of it. Indeed. It may take dozens of tries to beat the game, even on easy, but your first victory will be a big accomplishment :) Second stage of the boss is the hardest of them, but with a solid ship and good strateg...

Re: A question about boarding parties
Answer is no. If your ship blows up, you're gone for good.
It could be kinda cool, but afterall many enemy ships are just shit (low hull, can't have all systems etc...). Like slug interceptor, no medbay and no way to repair engines or life support...

Re: Pre-igniter vs Auto-loader
...And if you're stacked with BL2's, you don't need no autoloader OR preigniter!... I strongly disagree. I've had a run with three BL2's and a couple of auto-loaders at the same time, and BL2 is really one of the weapons that truly benefits from autoloaders. BL2 already has very high damage-per-min...

Re: Your "Fuck you, FTL" Moments
First, no ship-unlock events. EVER. Stealth and zoltan took forever, still trying to unlock more... Second, Stealth B. First jump in first sector and SURPRISE - zoltan shield! Nearly died. Then, beam drone. Still hanging on - barely. Finally, jump into the third sector and have only one beacon to go...
