It'd be nice if you could sell them for 1 scrap each, this is severely limiting the amount of benefit you would get from selling them, but you could maybe find yourself padding out your scrap just enough to afford an extra crew or that one system you were just 3 scrap from with the rebels ready to j...

Your suggestion makes the FTL upgrades just a wee-bit overpowered. Fuel is easy enough to come by, but things that slow the rebels, or allow easier travel are not as easy to come by. Making the FTL an upgradable system undoes that. Your suggestion needs a bigger negative.

Most of the things you have suggested are infeasible without access to the source code of the game. The only mods we can do are changing and adding ships, weapons, sectors and events (which are also limited) and some other minor edits. Sorry to burst your bubble. Quirk: The START_GAME event can't have unique choices, it will inherit it's choices from START_BEACON.

There are definitions for individual races store events, but I can't find anything that shows *what* they sell, I'll hazard a guess it's almost completely random except you won't get sold stuff like shields, if you already have that system installed.
