[SUGGESTION] Forum section for mods and mod requests.

It would be a shame if some real gems got lost amidst the discussion area.
Might as well go ahead and get it out of the way since it'll need some organizing eventually.

Re: The difficulty curve needs work

The game needs better pacing. 80% of the difficulty is just in the boss.

Re: Roguelike game design: Choice/Emergence/Strategy

Of course, but even if people are expecting to much- they will be just as happy when it arrives. It's not like they are going to go trade in FTL to the nearest gamestop. I would also rather they take their time, to ensure the highest quality with whatever additions they bring, rather then rush out s...

Re: [Cheating] Guide to Memory Editing for fun and profit.

Interesting. But i prefer to sexually please enough leprechauns to gain the RNG gods favor. It works just as well. On a side note, the last time i ever used cheat engine when i was 14, trying to cheat in online MMO's to get my gold back. ah, sweet sweet memories of how retarded i was as a child. How...

Re: Roguelike game design: Choice/Emergence/Strategy

id be really dissapointed if this game missed its potiental. So i hope the devs or mods can go the extra mile, flesh it out then top it off with some new content.

We agree to disagree then.
I don't have as easy a time writing it off like that.

But regardless of what is or isnt done with the boss, FTL is great fun and well worth the money. I hope they add more to it going forward.

Re: Just beat the boss on easy. It was easy. :P

For all intents and purposes, Scrap is "gear". The difficulty level and ship you take add to your starting amount of Gear. How much Scrap you get is randomized each game. [Rougelike] What you use Scrap on is skill related. Repairs cost scrap so, in turn we can say that damage removes gear....

Re: Just beat the boss on easy. It was easy. :P

Everything leading up to the bossfight is very solid. You need approach your choices, and the combat strategicly. the bossfight on the otherhand, is "hope you can do enough DPS because <unavoidable attack here> [unless you have cloak, a 2 in one gearcheck.]" You can't sit there and tell m...
