Re: [Tool] FTL Ship Editor: Superluminal - version 13-08-29

I've not been visiting the thread all that much anymore, but I came back because of the FTL Advanced announcement, and since kartoFlane put up a donate link I sent 5€ his way. Superluminal is just that amazing a piece of software.

Re: [Tool] FTL Ship Editor: Superluminal - 24-3-13u

I know I'm repeating myself, but amazing work as always. At this point I'd say the editor surpasses anything anyone could ask of such a tool, yet you keep adding awesome functionality I wouldn't have thought of, let alone dreamt of having.

Thanks, really. This is such an awesome thing to have. :)

Re: [Tool] FTL Ship Editor: Superluminal - 5-3-13b

@Weltall *sigh* It doesn't matter where you place the ship in the editor. The only thing that matters is the distance between the anchor (light-blue box) and the rooms closest to it - this designates the offset of the ship, which in turn is the value that decides where the ship is placed in the han...

Re: [Tool] FTL Ship Editor: Superluminal - 5-3-13b

I got that issue that speedoflight mentioned a few pages ago, the one where the ship loads fine in the editor, but is misaligned in-game. I've uploaded both the .shp and the compiled .ftl to Google Drive so you can check them out. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwgV6PdDgkbBcmJzZXczUzBrRmc/edit?usp=...

Re: [Tool] FTL Ship Editor: Superluminal - 5-3-13b

I've already implemented the "calculate optimal offset" function, it's working pretty nicely. I've actually gotten it to almost the exact same formula as Weltall Zero did, before I've seen his post, so it seems we've got that right. That's awesome. :) Even if I was a bit late, I'm glad my...

Re: [Tool] FTL Ship Editor: Superluminal - 5-3-13b

@Weltall Zero Thank you - that's very flattering, actually :) Just telling it as I feel it. I'm telling everyone I know that plays FTL about Superluminal, too. :) As for moving the ship in hangar, just reduce the offset - i.e., move the anchor closer to the ship. While holding down shift, left-clic...

Fixed it. edit 2 : Uploaded fixed versions. edit 3 : Uploaded yet another fixed version - restored compatibility with projects from previous ...

Re: Increase the difficulty?

Less scrap and possibly a limit on the amount of pause time you have? (i.e. 15 seconds total pause time, I guess a whole minute for the boss battle) I think I'll mod a repair arm to not repair the hull and still take 15% of the scrap to try these limits out. You may be onto something with the limit...

Re: [Tool] FTL Ship Editor: Superluminal - b26-2-13

@Weltall Zero Whoa. This is really weird. The error is actually related to rooms, how you got it with mounts is beyond me. And I can't seem to be able to reproduce it... What exactly were you doing? That said, I've already fixed it, but still, I can't comprehend how it happened in the first place.....

Re: [Tool] FTL Ship Editor: Superluminal - b26-2-13

Thanks that's nice, I will ask you for such a feature after I can complete my work on the utility. Unless I'm missing something, couldn't you make it so that your utility packs your xml and txt files into a .ftl file, then open it with Superluminal? A .ftl file is just a renamed .zip, after all. Th...
