You can also opt into beta versions of FTL with steam, getting new (possibly buggy) versions before they are released via Humble Bundle, and GOG.

And your oxygen is taken out too, I don't think you can survive this... Definitely an interesting situation, and it's awesome that the devs included a failsafe for it too.

From what I can tell, the races seem to be hard coded in the application and not accessible via the XML. Is this correct? Is that going to prevent us from adding new races or can anyone think of a way to circumvent that? That's what I see as well, we can mod the existing races/ships however we like...

i dont know how to edit that save file. meanwhile, unlocking them via adding the unlock section to the tutorial...only lasts for the one time the game is up. once its closed, its gone. Hmm? Well it shouldn't. It should be updating your savegame when you do it. It worked for me when I was struggling...

for me, i want to figure out how to mod the events a bit so i can unlock the ships, i've been struggling to find any sign of the crystal cruiser's events. I want to make it maybe a little easier somehow. If you want a really easy way to unlock it, mod the tutorial to call the unlock ship event. Wor...

Wow, that was fast! I'm not sure if the devs are going to approve of this tool but it's out there now. Let the hacking begin... Some intersting comments in events.xml I don't think they'll have much of a problem with modders, but sharing the ideas they left in their code doesn't seem very nice. Esp...

I won't discuss it further before the game is actually released, but this game isn't too hard to mod. Some have already made minor modifications if you look around.

Lol, you screwed up a bit at the beginning, I found myself yelling to cloak and repair different systems, but that was a nice comeback. I think I enjoy watching this game as much as I do playing it.
