Re: Unfair
Yep. With a strong enough ship you can actually wander around in rebel occupied systems as long as you want, there are almost no reasons to do so. They give no salvage except 1 fuel, and override any other random events. So only do it if you need a quest objective or store. Incendax is right. With ...

Re: Looking for suggestions.
If you have problems timing your shots, try to rely more on the Pause function. To pull it all off in real-time is a very difficult endeavour. If you pause the game regularly, you should have far less problems. I'd also vote for the Fire Bomb. I find them useful, and you can put you're missiles to g...

Re: plz let us sell our missiles, drone parts, fuel
The devs have stated they don't want missiles, drones and fuel to became de-facto secondary currencies. There are merchants for this sort of trade, and while they are random, I don't think we'll get more than that.

Re: List of things people don't like [From Reddit thread]
I'm afraid that's just your opinion though, sorry, and mine holds more weight in the real world. HAH! Good luck surviving off your idealism and ignoring the market. The welfare sign up line is right this way... Well, I guess this discussion is over, then. Two replies in, you're already ridiculing m...

Re: List of things people don't like [From Reddit thread]
If the majority of your audience is saying something should be changed, whether you believe it doesn't fit your holy vision is moot; you need to change it to please your market. Velz, The developer does not have to or need to do anything to please the market. The developer (at a guess) has spent ye...

Re: Roguelike game design: Choice/Emergence/Strategy
What I would love is for the devs to either: 1) Pull a Toady or Notch. An endless development business model! 2) Open source it, and let the community do what communities do. Retain some sort of governing authority, and hope that eventually something like Nethack will result. Two days after the gam...

Re: Will there be customization?
Cosmetic customization would be cool. Technical customization, though, will probably not happen, as the developers mentioned they tried it out becase it seemed like a cool idea, but then turned out to be very unbalancing and unfun.

Re: Am I allowed to send FTL to a freind?
I can totally understand you, and I'm not sure whether I wouldn't do the same thing. It's just a difficult question, as one could argue this was a case of damaging an indie developer, which seems quite unfair.

Re: Am I allowed to send FTL to a freind?
Not really. DRM stands for Digital Rights Management; it's an anti-piracy measure that game companies use. Nowadays, DRM doesn't really tend to work well unless it's very invasive and sometimes harmful, so some companies (Like the team behind FTL) just leave it out as a way of showing respect to th...
