How to quit FTL

Postby Ghosttoj » Sat Oct 19, 2013 5:57 am

So I did it. I finally got the damaged stasis pod and the Zoltan research event in the same run. Everything was really tense, because I had two red sectors to go before the last stand. I reach the end of the preceding sector, and sure enough, Rock Homeworlds. I was unbelievably excited. I had done it. I was going to get the Crystal Cruiser.

Then I saw this.Image

I still think that putting all the crystal stuff behind the gate of RNG is a mistake. Getting messed up by the RNG during a run is one thing, but this just takes the cake.

Anyways, if you feel that you deserve that crystal cruiser, you can use this to give it to yourself.

Ouch. I gave up getting the crystal secror in a similar situation. I got the dude, got to the homeworlds, and got through them without finding the sector. This was before they added the quest marker. It was also after over 100 specific tries to get it.

I unlocked the ship via the cheat, and didn't feel the least bit bad about it.

This was attempt 30 or so for me. I did get the Stealth Cruiser in the same run as a consolation prize though, so I'm not too upset. I'll try again and get the stupid thing eventually :D

Reminds me of when I finally found the Stealth Cruiser quest and the two ships were on opposite ends of the map with no easy way to get to them.

I am one of the 20 people in the world to actually get the Crystal cruiser.

I also tore my hair out trying to get the Crystal Cruiser before finally getting it after about, I swear, 200 runs or more. Maybe it was actually less in reality but it sure felt like that much.

However, that situation takes the cake for cruelty.

If it is any consolation, when Advanced Edition comes out you will be able to unlock the Crystal Cruiser by having all the other ships unlocked.
