Hayabusa drone frigate. Basic coloring done. I'm gonna start shading it but wanted suggestions first.

Re: [MOD]Insane Difficulty
That's a really nice ship graphic. I like how it's going so far, though it's going to need some shading resembling that of vanilla ships, in order to fit in FTL seamlessly. It has some weird, insect-ish vibe to it, which, while strange, is actually pretty fitting.
I kinda liked it better without the fed engines, they feel really out-of-place. I don't know, maybe you should come up with an engine design and draw it by hand, so that it fits the ship better?
Also, the rear "plates" (the ones directly above the engiens) are bugging me a bit, since as of now the two plates (which I assume are meant to be separate) are aligned so perfectly that they create a straight line, angled towards the center of the ship. Nothing major, but it looks a little off. I'd advise either repositioning the trailing plates a little, or adding some graphical "fluff" (like the plates at the front of the ship).
That'd help prevent the impression of a cone piercing into the ship's arse.
Other than that, though, it's really well made :)

Don't be too hasty sticking engines like that on it. If you look at FTL, apart from kestrel / fed cruiser, almost none of the other ships have actual engines. because the graphics for them are very hardcoded so they don't work normally. it won't look out of place without big engine ports sticking out the back.

Great job, I'm not even going to mention some of the lighting/shadows being inconsistent in terms of direction :D
Now you have to make an equally interesting ship to fit the hull.
Watch this guy folks, he seems to have taken over from where I left off, in a sense ;)

Thank you. Always encouraging getting compliments from other respected modders like yourself.
EDIT: BTW has anyone tried out the new version yet? I balanced out the end boss, hopefully you can beat him now while still being challenging... (Haven't fully play tested it yet, so some feedback from other players would be great)
