So... because gibs are hard, you're giving up?

Just do what I do. Have only one gib which happens to be the whole ship and when it dies, it spins around rapidly off towards the edge of the screen.

I believe he thinks gibs are just images that attach to his ship and are shown in the game all the time... which they are not.

seeing as how when you load up the ship from OP's file, you can't see that, the file's gotta change before any image of it in action can appear on the top post

Loading it up in superluminal and you will see that his ship hull only consists of the crystal piece. However, the gibs in the OP's file are lanius pieces, it was my interpretation that he intended for the gibs to add to the ship. I don't think the OP understands what gibs are supposed to be used for.

So you can't just grab the hull you're currently using, make it into a gib in Superluminal and do that?
Is there an actual ship image or is it just a floor plan?

I'm still not following. It doesn't look that hard to use the base ship image as a gib, stick it under the base image and set it to move in one direction when destroyed

I'm lacking my modding files, but I managed to throw this image together from the stuff in the first post.

There are no extra systems to install.
Piloting and sensors ended up in the same room for some reason.
Every system starts at one power, so you don't have shields to start.
Ship has 22 hull points and 14 reactor power. Was this copied from a boss ship?
Has three weapon slots and starts with three boss weapons.
Starts with four crew: 2 Crystal and 2 Lanius
Starts with Crystal Vengeance, Drone Recovery Arm (why?), and Mantis Pheromones.

If I ever get around to copying FTL resource files onto the computer I'm using, I may give this thing an overhaul.

Here is my unofficial overhaul of this ship. Replaces Lanius B.

I can't test this since I don't have Java/Slipstream installed, so let me know if I made any mistakes when I rebuilt this ship so I can fix it. I don't have a checklist, so I could've forgotten something.

(Refer to my post above for info mentioned here)
Crew is still the same.
Hull health is now a normal 30 and reactor starts at 6.
Shields and weapons start at 2 power.
Replaced weapons with Adv. Flak and Heavy Crystal I.
Replaced Drone Recovery Arm with Emergency Respirators. Kept other two augments. Yep, Crystal and Lanius crew using Mantis Pheromones. Don't know where they got them, but they have them.

I don't know much about gib movements, so I copied the gib data from the vanilla ships. If it turns out weird, I don't care.
I didn't want to bother trying to make a decent cloaking image, so I made something different. Hopefully there are no copyright problems. :roll:
I borrowed the floor image from Jaded Wrath's download rather than make my own.
When making the base hull image, I didn't remove the glows from the gibs. I thought it looked fine with them still there overlapping other gibs.

Pretty sure OP gave up on this, don't think he/she will be coming back anytime soon. Nice work though, not that I understand what the OP's intentions for the ship were..
