Tabitha sat in her seat, listening to a song she acquired from the station's network.
"I didn't even think that studio was still around after the whole Mantis Charlies thing..." she remarked.
Suddenly a Human was being taken onboard the ship with one of Quintet's Drones.
"I'd complain how we seem to be taking on more crew than a slaver ship every time we go somewhere but at least he's not another Mantis or Lanius" she commented "Are we not big enough for Rocks or something?"

She walked over to Cathos and introduced herself "Hello sir. I'm Ensign Tabitha Mia. I sometimes pilot this ship and sometimes cook the meals for the crew."
"If you're here to work with us, you'll need this" she added, handing Cathos the pirate hat she had looted from a previous encounter "Quintet didn't want one of his drones wearing it and it doesn't seem to fit me properly. It's a men's hat after all."

From a distance he saw somebody get out from her chair and walk over to him. So, he wasn't the only human on this ship. Although Tabitha looked more alien than human with her blue skin. After she introduced herself, he followed suit.

"Cathos Lebonance" he looked down at the hat and picked it up, examining it, "and uh, heh heh, but do I have to? Wearing this would be an ironic disrespect to all the pirates I've led to their deaths over the years." After looking at it memorably for a second, he wore it anyway. "Meh, who cares, they're just pirates."

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Just as Nazia was about to escape the crowd, she saw Cathos burst out of the bar, unscathed. By the looks of it, he was being escorted by a repair drone. They ran to a ship as Nazia watched, powerless to intercept as they were too far away. He was up to one of his shenanigans again. Nazia was tempted to just wait it out at the station, but the station guards who swarmed out of a room and started shooting at her overthrew that option.

Are you kidding me.

Dodging fire, she made a mad dash for the ship that Cathos went into, which seemed like it was about to undock. Diving through the door, she landed with a chrash. Quickly standing up, she closed it and turned around to face Cathos, who was talking with a blue-skinned human.

Technicolour skin is a normal thing in society that's been around for a while. So it seems Cathos' thoughts betray him as more racist than most Rebels :P

"Well I can't keep the hat, so if you don't wear it, who will?" Tabitha said "The pirate we looted it from got it tailored, the bastard."
She suddenly spotted a Lanius rushing for the ship that wasn't the usual crew she knew. Is that the same clothed Lanius from earlier? she thought to herself, quickly moving Cathos aside, shouting for him to get down while pulling out a blaster.
"This isn't a taxi service!" she shouted to the intruder "Go find a tug if you're desperate to get off the station!"

Quintet disconnected from the station, and quickly powered up a drone on the ship, grabbed a gun, and pointed it at the lanius on the floor.

"Stay down! I know who you're here for. Cathos comes with us. I'm captain here, and I don't think I have to jog your memory on who I am.."

Quintet moved the gun closer to the lanuis' head.

"Do I? You come with us or leave now. You're not getting up until you say which. I honestly don't care what you choose, as I literally am unable to feel anything other than anger and vengeance without killing things and I don't see a good result in killing you. Pick your fancy - come along with us on a battle to turn the tables and change the galaxy forever and bathe in a masterpiece of fame and glory once this is dealt with for about a good standard space month before I end the feds or simply back out now."

Quintet quickly wiped the server of all communication logs using the drone on the station, including those on the contact he just had, and completely wiped all the data off the repair drone in the station after removing all his files from it, leaving it a useless heap of metal on the floor. He made one more message on the crew communications.

"If you're not on the ship, get on the ship. We're leaving soon."

(If you can't post before we leave, don't worry, we haven't abandon you. When you post next time, simply act as if you had got back to the ship before we left. Also, a grand thanksgiving to all of you who celebrate it. In case you don't, simply have a good time with whatever you're celebrating or doing.)

Targon shrugged at Quintet's subtle threat. "Okay, whatever. They know better than to mess with a mad AI anyway."

He checked out the weapons to see that they were in fine shape and darted into his room to plug up the Lanius-Engi hybrid information on his private computer. The high Engi was still in a corner, hibernating.

"Good grief, Dyxie delved deep into this..." He suddenly heard that a Lanius had jumped onto the ship. It was wearing clothes, too. The dark blue Mantis scrolled through all of the hybrid code and notes Dyxie had given to him.

Apparently Engies used a series of codes that were genetically inherited by their parents. Every Engi had a slightly different mainframe. As for Lanius, they simply multiplied by eating any kind of metal. When a new Lanius was created it inherited the same coding as its parent, but there were slight changes, just not as drastic as an Engi.

Someone's coding got messed with. Targon thought of the weird Lanius in the ship. Good grief, we have three of them. And all of them are different.. Maybe one of them would be willing to donate some coding to him. Dyxie had several mainframes from multiple Lanius', but they were all pretty much the same, she had recorded in her notes. Her Engi mainframes were very different, on the other hand, and she was struggling to figure them out. Once she found Data, Targon read, she would store him in the ship computer until her hybrid was perfected.

Targon's phone started ringing and he picked it up. "Targon Indus- oh, it's you. Yup, I'm looking it over. Remote access?... Sure, hang on. I'll ask him."
He contacted Quintet by private chat and typed up a message.

"Dyxie and I need access to our computers remotely. She's willing to let you look over our research as long as you leave her copy of Data and our research alone. Are you okay with this?" Targon hit send and then glanced over at the Engi in the corner.

I wonder if.. Na-ah. That's illegal. He sighed and kept looking over the research, waiting for Quintet's reply.
I've created Type C Hulls for the enemy Mantis, Slug, Rock, and Zoltan ships, and anyone can use these for a mod.
Check out the details here.

"That's fine! I'll kill both of you if you go through my files, though."

Nazia lay there for a moment, taking in the information. She got it. She complied, and when everybody put their guns down, she stood up and continued.

"No, Quintet, you don't have to remind me who you are, you lunatic. I accept." Brushing past Tabitha, who's comments were now irrelevant, she walked over to the crew quarters that she had located when she first got on the ship, throwing her hands up in the air while mouthing, "of course he chooses Cathos out of all people". Cathos himself stood there, rubbing his brows with an annoyed expression. A little bit later, he faced the drone.

"Say, Quintet, what are you trying to do?"

Quintet paused.

"What am I trying to do?
What am I trying to do?

Well, I'm trying to survive a massive journey filled with crew who the feds picked in a final attempt to take their crime-riddled, con-famed criminal mass of an empire to a surviving state across 10 sectors of depressing, war-torn sectors filled with deadly pirates and rebel and federation pursuit to get to and destroy one of the most infamously powerful bases in history with the help of a massive amount of murderous A.I.s and well-trained crew ready to fight off the most murderous scum of the entire galaxy all so I can satisfy the feds long enough to destroy them forever and mark my revenge on everyone who's ever double-crossed me.

That is what I'm attempting to do."

"What just happened" Tabitha asked herself, heading back to her seat at the helm "No wait, never mind. I'll just be a good ol' lummox and follow orders..."

Before Kr could answer Cathos, a lanius ran up which appeared to know Cathos. "I'm Kr, to answer your question. Who's the lanius?"
