[Gameplay bug] Inconsistency with scrap from augmentation

There was an event where I got awarded the exact same augmentation that I already had. End result was I got some scrap from the duplicate. HOWEVER, in another event I got an augmentation that I didn't have before, and I had to choose which augmentation to leave behind. I got no scrap from that extra augmentation.
It doesn't make sense that if you have duplicates you get scrap, but if not you get nothing.
