A patrol cruiser would attack for violations of Rock space. An unescorted envoy ship delivering messages between two sectors is in a big hurry and wouldn't dare engage a small fleet by itself. Territorial violations can be reported to those who have the firepower.
I got an idea though...

As the envoy had jumped away, a second Rock ship had mysteriously appeared from behind one of the planetoids to attack after giving out a message on how they'd violated Rock territory. Eden would have dismissed them as an idiot except that it did just appear out of nowhere; the ship was running hotter than the planetoid it was hiding behind.

"Where did that one come from? We should have picked it up easily..." Lux commented, checking the sensors "Even a cloaking device would..."
She picked up unusual readings from the Mutare as Sarah was trying something of her own. "Ummm... what are you doing over there?"

Suddenly, to Sarah's surprise, the ship enmmiting the Galactons jumped away! But the Galacton field was still stable!

She redid her calculations (Galacton movements are incredibly difficult to calculate) before realizing that the Galacton emitter was in some other location.

Her calculations proved to be correct, as a Rock battleship appeared out of nowhere. IT is what carried the Galacton emitter!

She quickly reported her grotesque error to Jake, quite embarrassed. Jake just took it in stride.

He examined the new ship. Unlike the envoy, it bristled with weapons. Repeated and unrelenting shots began dropping the Purple Shield integrity.

"Sarah!" Jake said into the comms. "You are go for that little science experiment!"

Upon receiving Jake's command, Sarah activated the fault beam at the Rock ship. The beam hit the shields harmlessly, but the energetic reaction began around the ship. The Galacton field rippled with energy before settling into a new, altered state.

"The Galacton particle field has changed its overall properties. That device is online, whatever it is." Sarah remarked.

The last shot from the Rock ship hit the Purple shields, officially dropping the Purple barrier.

"All right, the Purple shields are down - we've waited long enough. All units return fire." Jake said. But before he locked target, the Rock ship began shaking with increasing intensity. Detailed scans showed the hull being drawn inward... The ship was imploding from the inside out.

"Is it a Black-" Jake began. But before he finished, the ship collapsed in on itself, and a glowing blue light erupted into view dramatically. The blue energy unfurled itself into a disk like shape, in a dazzling display of light. The Mature began to rattle slightly under the force.

"Its a wormhole!" Sarah said into the comms.

"I knew it was weird for the envoy to lack an escort... but that sort of escort?" Eden remarked, looking at the battleship. She didn't get much time to admire it however as the black-Rock ship began to tear itself apart from... whatever the Mutare was doing.
By instinct now, Eden had moved the Pelican away from the forming singularity. "I don't trust wormholes that suddenly form out of Rock ships... can your fancy ship-tech detect its stability? We're not a Science Vessel after all."
Lux remarked "Maybe we should purchase those sorts of sensors at the next shop. Or just a lifeform scanner..."

The comms were crackling with interference from the Wormhole as Sarah got on the comms.

"If we're gonna go through that wormhole, we'd better decide soon! It's very unstable and could collapse at any moment!"

"Eden, Bren - what do you guys think? Decide quickly!" Jake said.

I'M BACK! I forgot about this and I'm so sorry! And it turns out that I will be gone all next week because my family is staying in a cabin, so I won't be able to post there.

I'm incredibly sorry for my insane delay, I may decide to not do the RP because I've proven to be so unpredictable. If you can just pick me up when I get back in an event (I don't care what the event is) I should be able to consistently post in this RP.
Man, I'm embarrassed...

Allright, it's okay. Mistakes happen. Just please try to remember in the future! I have a webloc (link file) on my desktop so I just open that file when I want to check the RP.

Sarah monitored the massive energy waves force their way out of the wormholes mouth. The wormhole was obviously starting to contract, the energy within squeezing out. It would destabilize to unsafe levels within a matter of minutes. The various captains had to make a decision!

Bren was just munching on space popcorn as he watched this show

"Man what is going on, kinda lost boss" he said chuckling a bit

"Looks like a wormhole opened up" Ruwen said

"Well might as wel lcheck it out" Bren said moving forward, "I ain't afraid of it"

"if the wormhole is collapsing rapidly, that's just incentive NOT to go in there" Eden said "That wormhole could take us far away from where the Rebels are working their secret project..."
"From what I know from Captain Awesome, whenever he brought the Red-Tail through dangerous space anomalies, it always took them to a new adventure" Lux said.
"They were on an exploration mission" Eden snapped back "We need to move on and save the galaxy from spaghettification!"

Shouldn't Ruwen be a bit more excited about the prospects of a wormhole considering that's how you reach the Crystal Homeworlds? Maybe he knows it will lead somewhere due to gravity space-time... whatever tech Crystals use when making wormholes... because right now, we're essentially going off-mission again and sticking our prows into random space holes.
