Targon held out a large hand.
"Hello, my name is Targon! I'm working on a project with my colleague on how to make Engi/Lanius hybrids and I was wondering if you would be willing to copy over some of your mainframe for us to look at. We're kind of at a stump right now because he don't have enough mainframes, so if you're willing it would be great!"

"Says the one who put 400% of the daily reccomended sodium amount into somebody's food." He called back.

"What are you sir, a Slug?" Tabitha shouted back "Come back in your proper form so I can cook for your sensitive pallete!"
Next time, that's what he'll be getting. I know a few Slug delicacies that'll make a Mantis retch, she thought evilly to herself.

Nazia blinked at the sharp pincer that Targon was holding out to her. Finally refusing with a slight hand gesture, she looked closely at him. Mantis engineers had a worse reputation than slugs, cutting corners to catch up on the tech they missed out on because of their anscestor's physical impairments. For some reason, Nazia doubted these guys would wait until a station with Lanius came up to finish their research.

"If I'm willing it would be great, and if I'm not? Fine?" Targon looked anxious for a second, smile faltering.

"Actually, never mind. I'll do it." She paused. "What exactly do I have to do?"

Targon was overjoyed. The sarcasm in this one.. I hope we can figure it out!

"Well, there are two options. One is you can come to my quarters and I'll connect you with wires into my computer. It will take time to copy over your code, however, depending on how much of it you want to give us. An entire mainframe takes over an hour.

"The other option is you can keep doing," Targon glanced behind Nazia and shuddered slightly at the weapons and scrap strewn on the ground, "whatever you're doing and I scan you using our wireless decoder. It's fast, but the technology is.. rather new. We've only used it a few times and one of them ended up deactivating an Engi's leg. Your choice."

"Oh wow. I'm glad I accepted. I wouldn't want my leg to give out under me while I'm swinging sharp things around, eh? Anyway, I'll take the manual option. Haven't been able to reboot in weeks and it doesn't look like this ship is getting a teleporter anytime soon." She stepped out into the hallway and closed the door behind her.

"That's great, but what exactly were you doing in there?" Kr thought he had seen a weapon, so his interest was sparked. "It looked like you were making a mace. Do you prefer crushing your enemies with heavy weapons? I like the light and sharp weapons, but my claws are better in my opinion."

"Well, first of all, that mace is for doors, not people." She walked a little further. "Regarding my fighting style, I don't actually like to touch the enemy at all. Blood makes me rust. I prefer to use the environment. For instance, this is what I would do with that weapon you saw back there. I'd go into the oxygen room; make a breach or two while trashing the system; break down the doors adjacent to every room so that the lack of air flows through the ship; and watch as the enemy runs out of air. Clean. I would stab somebody if I had to, though."

Childish, Cathos thought, as he quickly grabbed his headset. Walking back to the piloting room, he noticed Nazia walking with Targon and Kr. He was honestly suprised they got her to agree. While intrigued, he didn't take further notice of it and sat down to resume his work.

She is so unique.. Dyxie will be very happy! Targon cheerfully thought as he escorted Nazia and Kr to his room.

"Right, now please stand here." He indicated for the Lanius to step onto a small square he had set onto the floor. "This will take a second.." He booted up the copy program Dyxie had created and clamped four wires onto Nazia's spikes, two near her knees and two into her elbows.

"How much of your mainframe do you want to copy over?" Targon asked, setting up the program a little more. "Like I said, an entire mainframe takes an hour or so, but something like the core coding of your process of thought would only take five minutes. Even faster if we simply scan the basics. What code would you like to donate?"

Nazia considered it for a moment. "You can scan everything. I don't have anything to hide. Although, let me say, I doubt it'll take that long. I'm pretty sure my coding was rushed since I had to be dispatched quickly. Two years isn't that long of a time to think anyway, especially since I'm pretty sure that most of the early stuff was just fighting and the battle adaptation module which eventually just let me adapt to everyday stuff." She sat back a little bit, somehow also tensing up. She looked around the room for a little bit.

"Uhh, bring that metal container a little bit closer when you're done. I'll be able to sense it." With that, she closed her eyes and shut down, systems optimizing themselves.
