Still new to FTL: AE, first run on the Kestrel C, still learning the ship and its weapons.

First jump: too near a star, enemy ship, take a beating, but defeat it.

Second jump: too near a star, another enemy ship.

There was no third jump.

i have had several with no second jump...

once i was cruising along in a rock sector in a mantis-b i found a ship and heir captain joined my ship.. litttle did he know he was stepping into a RNG satanpit..

a few jumps later i find another rock ship which has the dreaded missile launcher... i boarded with my rock and teleported him out before he could die.. i sent him towards my medbay thinking "it would suck if my rockmen got hit by a missile and died.." then before i know it.. the enemy reads my mind and sends a missile towards my rockmen

he died..

a few jumps later the ship ran into a rebel fighter and died....

Dumbest Death had to be Federation Cruiser, Sector 6, doing actually quite well, except a Rebel fighter started a fire that got a little out of control, i thought, meh, no worries i've got plenty of health left, another volley or beam and the rebel is dead... so i decide to put my crew into two compartments away from the now several that are on fire, and vent the O2... only as soon as i opened all doors with the push of a single button, 1 final missile from the rebel takes out my door control and now i can't close them... and so the entire ship vents before i can fix the doors and everyone dies...

never used the open all doors button since

Mantis B,I was trying to click the exit beacon but instead,I clicked the beacon that attacked by rebels..... of course, behind where I am, and because how the game work,I need to deal with a rebel elite with anti-ship battery, I thought I can escape but the game outsmarted me. First,the elite hit my pilot,I can repair it on time, then the ASB blow up my level 3 engine.
I have 3 Mantis crew(I got one from pirates)which does not help in this situation whatsoever.I can't do anything but just look at my ship explode after taking all the abuses.

I don't even know why I clicked the beacon on the first place, oh well it's already over, but I still remember it. I feel myself so dumb every time I think about that.

I'm surprised no one has posted this yet. Happened to me about 3 times now.

*Rips through enemies.
*Forgets to turn Oxygen back on.

Engi Type B.

So I ended up fighting the ASB due to some poor planning, and got out alive, but severely damaged. Jumped to the exit, went to a civilian sector. First jump, I get an automated scout with no shields. I think, "OK, no problem".

Then it hacks my weapons.

Game over.

This is the dumbest way the rebel flagship died. Here's its perspective

Huh, in my case the Rebel Flagship would be like this:

Rebel Officer: A Vulcan? Pah that's a stupid weapon. Just drop a Hacking Drone on the Weapons and call it a day.
Gunner: Ummm sir, they've shot it down.
Officer: Launch another one then Johnson!
Gunner: Hey it got through and disabled their drones! Must be the Basilisk.
Officer: Also, we're cloaked and have missiles. Let's keep hitting their Weapons with them and setting them on fire.

On the Basilisk:
Mantis: Gah how do I fix this thing again? Where's the Engi?
Engi: Beep boop. I'm in the Clone Bay. You broke it in the last battle and caused a hull breach. The DNA bank is keeping me intact.
Mantis: Gah! How can we board this foolish meatsack ship at low health?
