Starting this post to inform you about our progress in the new Language Mod for FTL AE.

El MOD no estaba terminado, y aún nos queda por limar alguna cosilla, pero ya está *casi* listo.

Hola todos - de parte de mi hijo (que no habla inglés) y yo, MUCHAS GRACIAS!!! El está jugando FTL AE en el iPad conmigo traduciendo todo; en su computador juega la edición antigua en Español solo, y tiene muchas muchas ganas de poder jugar FTL AE en Español. Apenas hoy nos enteramos del proyecto para traducir, me encantaría poder haberos ayudado.

Nuevas versiones 0.4 de Textos e Imágenes, el paso anterior al Mod v1.0...

Me alegra muchísimo lo que me cuentas, espero que tu hijo lo disfrute a tope.

Vaya, me imagino que el parche también funcionará con la versión iPad... sólo que le faltarán algunas imágenes por traducir. Cuando terminemos la v1.0 procuraremos actualizarlo con iPad, a ver qué tal. Ya nos contarás!

Thanks again guys - with a lot of emotion I tried today installing and it is NOT working. It is strange because other mods are working. The log file from SMM shows:

But the GUI is still in English. Curiously, if I remove Better Planets and Backgrounds from the list, I notice the file size of resources.dat is now the same as the vanilla/unmodded file (201,261,217 bytes). The last modified timestamp is changed. Don't know if this is relevant.

Anyway, any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? FTL version is 1.5.10, SMM 1.4 of course.\

tonxabar, Esteban tiene 9 años y ahora 'respira' FTL todo el día, le encanta el juego. Ahora está intentando desbloquear la nave cristal le digo que es difícil pero igual está intentando, espero lo logre! El juega la versión anterior en el computador, el AE en mi iPad pero le va muy mal pues lo que no entiende... no puede hacerlo si no estoy cerca para traducirle. Le he dicho que tiene que esperar a que los amigos del foro terminen la traducción y espera con paciencia. En fin, compartir un poco con ustedes uno de los jugadores que aman excelente juego (y yo también, esta semana un par de noches me he acostado muy tarde jugando!)

Hi, again, Venturello!
I used before those mods, Better Planets and Better Asteroids...

Well, try to put the Spanish mods at the end of the list (loading first Better Planets). Today I'm going to make that test myself: adding again Better Planets.

If that doesn't work, try to uninstall and erase everything and reinstall all from scratch. Try to use at first only the Spanish mods...

I have tried, always with a clean install. Now I use this order:

Better Planets and Backgrounds_v1.3.1
Spanish Fonts 1.1
FTL+Ed+Av+Interfaz+0.4
FTL+Ed+Av+Textos+0.4

And same thing, GUI is in English. If I do only the Spanish mods I notice the file size stays the same although modified timestamp stays the same. Also if I do just Spanish + interfaz + textos, no luck. Also tried without the spanish fonts and no luck. Apparently the mod is not being applied, or something.

Any ideas what else I can try?
