OP MISSION: QUALITY EVENTS. SENDING CONTRIBUTION TO OP CARGO BAY. 15% PROBABILITY OF IT MEETING MISSION STANDARDS.

[Event in a Zoltan controlled sector or Zoltan Homeworlds. It's about a misunderstanding that could lead to a fight.]

You jump into the center of a firefight! A Zoltan missile salvo hurtles towards you - probably meant for the Mantis Ship behind you. Act fast!

(1st choice tree)~Get out of the way!
Your ship pulls up hard - merely giving the barrage a nice broad target
(Receive 10 Hull damage)

OR

You just manage to react fast enough. Your ship dives under the missiles.
(Nothing happens)

(1st choice tree)~BLUE OPTION Pilot Skill (Fully green exp bar) Evasive maneuvers!
You expertly roll your ship out of the way, leaning your hull just past the explosives.
(Nothing happens)

(1st choice tree)~BLUE OPTION Deploy a defense drone.
Your crew works together to shove a defense drone out the hatch, shooting most of the rockets down before they can reach you. You make quick work of dodging the last few.
(-1 Drone part)

---All choices lead to the same second choice tree---

"You let those criminals escape, you Fools!" The Zoltan patrol leader booms through your communications, angry at 'your' mistake. You try not to take it personally.

(2nd choice tree)~Take it personally and fire back at them!
You warm up the guns, you've had enough.
(Begins fight against Zoltan Patrol Ship)

(2nd choice tree)~Apologize and move on.
The Zoltan continues to lose his cool. "That is all the Federation is good for; shielding the weak from swift justice" You slump into your chair, ready to jump away. "Watch yourself next time."
(Nothing happens)

(2nd choice tree)~BLUE OPTION (Mind control level 1) Mind control him into apologizing
The Zoltan sends an apology gift your way, hoping for forgiveness. Your control over him wears off before you can jump away. He quickly realizes that he's been used and orders his patrol to attack!
(You receive 10-25 scrap then battle with a Zoltan Patrol ship)

OR

With a change of heart (and mind) the Zoltan sends a gift to your cargo bay with haste. You manage to jump away but hear "Wait - What? - Where did our metal go?" in your communications last minute.
(Receive 10-25 scrap)

(2nd choice tree)~BLUE OPTION (Mind Control level 3) Mind control him into apologizing
What comes your way next is not more missiles, but a gift. The Zoltan Patrol leader messages you frantically and apologetically. You decide to get out of here before he comes to his senses.
(You get 10-25 scrap)

[Msg me if you have questions!]

You land on a planet to discover a utopian city. The place is stunning, beautiful, and everyone there seems happy. You ask yourself how they managed to achieve such a high level of perfection. Oddly though, they don't seem to be aware of the rebellion. You wander to the nearest person and ask them...

1.Could you give us a tour?

(OUTCOME 1: He gives you a tour. One of your crew members is so amazed about this place that he decides to leave your company and live forever in this city. [ -1 crew member])

(OUTCOME 2: He gives you a tour. On the way, he takes you to the city council. The council is enraged to hear that the man brought some "imperfections" to the city and puts your crew in prison. After a long time, the council decides to kick you out of the city, since his decision of putting you in prison seems to him now as "rather harsh". [FLEET DOUBLED BY 2 JUMPS])

(OUTCOME 3: After giving you the tour, the man wishes to take part on you interplanetary adventures, and decides to join your crew and give you his scrap savings. [high scrap + one new crew member)

2. Are you aware that there is a war going on?

(OUTCOME 1 The man listens to your tale, he then tells the city council about this, and they decide to side with the Federation. Before you leave, they give you some scrap to help you along your journey. When the rebels arrive, they put up such a fight that the rebel fleet is in disarray. [FLEET DELAYED BY 2 JUMPS + medium scrap])

(OUTCOME 2: The man listens, he says he doesn't care and walks away.)

(OUTOME 3: The man shouts "LIAR!" And shoots one of your crew members. The crowd around you is in shock that the man would kill somebody in cold blood, so they overpower him and put him in jail. The crowd muster up some scrap to compensate for your loss. [ -1 crew member + medium scrap]

3. Why did the chicken cross the road?

(OUTCOME 1: The man finds this hilarious and gives you some scrap. [low scrap])

(OUTCOME 2: The man doesn't find this funny and punches you in the face)

(This event only occurs in Slug space, also im formatting this like how an event would be formatted in the wiki)
You jump into this beacon and you spot a slug station, many civilian cruisers are surrounding the ship.
1. Investigate
Outcome 1a. You approach the station and an advertisement is painted on the station "Slug hypnosisssss! Free!!!" Your crew beg to watch it. You think "Why not?" and board the station. As you land, your crew jumps out and picks some seats. A slug on stage asks "Any volunteersssss?!" (79% chance of choosing one of your crew)
1.Continue
Outcome1. He points to the person next to you. He simply gets up and walks to the stage. "You are getting very ssssleeepy" He says, the person falls asleep fairly quickly. "You are a chicken!" The slug says, the person starts to cluck. the audience claps, but you notice something strange, the audience has blank eyes, you ignore it. Suddenly, the slug commands "Now, you will kill these people right here!" Your crew runs back to your ship, but the man also comes aboard. (Reward: Intruders, Ends event)

1ab. The slug points it's finger at one of your crew, "How about you?!" your crew member steps up on stage and sits on a chair. You notice something, all of the audience around you have blank eyes. You start to get suspicious, plus, why would slugs host a free show? The slug says "Your getting very ssssleeeepy." Your crew member's eyes start to droop
1aaa. That is quite enough! (Ends the event)
Outcome aaa.You leave without a word taking your sleepy crew member onto the ship, he manages to recover.
1aab. Lets see how this plays out
Outcome aab. The crew member;s head nods down. "My little friend, you will now refer to me as your master!" You pull out your blaster but it's too late. Your crew member sleepily replies "Yesss master" the slug threatens "Ssshoot me, and you will get your buddy angry, You may wake up." Your crew member wakes with spirals in it's eyes. You wake him up and drag him along into your ship. Your crew member doesn't remember any thing and he/her acts extremely weird for the rest of the trip. Atleast one of your crew member took notes of the show.
(Reward: One random crew member loses skills, add hypnosis augment)
(Hypnosis augment can gain one crew if there is only one crew on an enemy ship) and there is no drones)

2. You ignore the station as your engines start to charge (Nothing happens)

Unfortunately events and augments don't work that way.

-------------------

Just some ideas for events:

"You arrive at the beacon over an icy planet. Your scanners detect that an experimental chemical was used that froze the planet's surface. A large set of tracks can be found running across the world where the rest of the population lives on a massive, long train that pierces through the snow. You see nothing of interest and move on."

- Insert empty beacon choices here-

Or:

"You arrive at the beacon over a primitive planet that seems to be in the Middle Ages. Several kingdoms are waging war over a very uncomfortable-looking throne. On the other continent, you find there's a warrior princess marching on several large cities with large lizard-like beasts flying overhead. You wonder if this is all some sort of game then prepare to move on."

-insert empty beacon choices here-

Or:

"You arrive at the beacon. Nothing seems to be here until you get an incoming transmission - "That's a very nice ship you have there. It'd be a sssshame if sssomething were to happen to it." You find it's coming from a cube-shaped planet and decide to move on due to lack of interest."

-insert empty beacon choices here-

Basically these events talk about strange and fantastical scenarios of fiction... and they're pretty much commonplace throughout the galaxy and not of interest to a ship on the run from the Rebels.

This is an event:
You are entered in a ice asteroids sector. Your FTL is frozen and you can't move.
A hostile ship approaches and open fire on your shields.
They sent you a transmission: Surrender or your ship will be destroyed!

1.Attack the ship and go away (3 Fuel,0 Drone part, Medium scraps)

2Exchanges with they one weapon for the freedom (-1 weapon, +4 Fuel)

3(Blue)Launch a ion charge on the weapon and get away (If you have a Ion cannon)

Can't do that. You can't give away weapons.

3(Blue)Launch a ion charge on the weapon and get away (If you have a Ion cannon)

So essentially it's another battle, except that the ion cannon instantly avoids the event, even if the enemy ship has 4 layers of shield? Then you wonder why it doesn't work in any other event? The ice asteroids do something with ions? But why ice asteroids and not say an ion storm which makes more sense?
I ask myself way too many questions...

This event can only occur in;
Zoltan Controlled Sector and
Zoltan Homeworlds.

As you arrive, you spot a small planet with white clouds surrounding it. One of your crew members points out that this planet is too small to be a gas giant.

1. Attempt to scan the planet...

2. Ignore it.

3. (Long-Ranged Scanners) Scan the planet...

4. (lvl. 3 Sensors) Scan the planet...

5. (Slug Crew) Telepathically scan the planet for life...

6. (Zoltan Crew) Overcharge your sensor system...

1a. You try to scan the planet, but you cannot penetrate the atmosphere. You prepare to move on... (End Event)

2a. The Zoltan hold strict laws that restrict contact with intelligent life and you cannot risk the mission to go exploring, you prepare to move on. (End Event)

2b. You move further away from the planet and turn your attention to the beacon. As you wait for your FTL to charge, you spot multiple plant covered ships studying the beacon. You decide it's best not to disturb them. (End Event)

3 and 4a. Your scans are able to penetrate the thick atmosphere and show a world covered completely by jungle and teeming with an extremely high amount of diverse lifeforms.

5a. Your slug members' eyes glaze over and he seems to enter into a trance-like state, a few minutes goes by as the slug member wakes up from his slumber. "Yesssss, there ssssseemss to be a large quantity of lifeformsssss living on the sssurface of the planet."

6a. Your Zoltan's face turns bright pink as he tries to overcharge the system, you get short glimpses of a jungle covered plane with a diverse set of plant-life. As you look, a huge, overgrown space ship flashes onscreen but immediately disappears! You question if this was just an illusion or if there is really a ship down there. As you're wondering what it could've been, the Zoltan gives in to the huge stress and collapses onto the floor. One of your crew members gets him some water and you carry him to a soft chair. The Zoltan is probably just exhausted.

(3, 4, 5, and 6 all lead to the same options)

1. Try to get close to the planet's surface...

2. Pull out, it's too dangerous. (End Event)

3. (Rock Plating) Get close to the planet's surface...

4. (Titanium System Casing) Get close to the planet's surface...

1a. Your ship starts breaking apart and you're forced to pull out. (3-4 Hull Damage, with fire to a random place/places)

1b. Your ship pushes through the atmosphere with no damage at all, as you sigh in relief, a giant, flying, green whale smashes into your ship. Luckily, your ship took no damage from this strange event.

3a. Your Rock Plating lets you breeze through the atmosphere and arrive to your calculated destination.

4a. Your Titanium System Casing protects your ship from the rough atmosphere as your ship whizzes through the thick clouds.

(1b, 3a, and 4a all have this option)

1. Explore...

1a. You send an away team through the thick canopies and before long, you are greeted by a strange plant species that seems to stare back at you. They look into your eyes and says something that your translator finds easy to translate. "Traveller from stars... aliens... existence known... friend or foe?" You answer friend and the translator answers "Nùnbar." The plant species points to the space shuttle you saw earlier. To your surprise, the plant was never attached to the ground and leads your crew to the overgrown ship.

1. Continue...

1a. There seems many of the talking plants and as you wonder what they're doing, one of them speaks to you "Your language is fascinating, and it is great to meet you alien." Your crew look around and realise that these are a very intelligent race on the verge of FTL space travel. The one who spoke to you earlier points at a screen on the space ship. "We're trying to figure out how to warp space to travel from one place to another. We could use some help.

1. Give them your FTL research data.

2. (Adv. FTL Navigation) Upload everything they need.

1a. It takes a long time for the codes and data to reach the computers abut the plant creatures speak, "Our sincere thanks, information... sufficient!" They present you with different plant and animal species that you've never seen before. They'll probably be worth a lot of scrap, you load them onto your ship.

2a. You upload everything they could possibly need to know to their systems. "Splendid!" You probably saved them months of research from helping them. They present you with different plant and animal species that you've never seen before. They'll probably be worth a lot of scrap, you load them onto your ship.

(1a and 2a both lead to the same options) As you prepare to leave, you ask them a question...

1. "What will you do with the information?"

2. "Do you know about the advancing Rebel Fleet?"

3. "Where are the rest of your people?"

1a. They answer, "We will begin to modify our ships so they can harness and use the massive energy given off of the beacon to explore space." You wave goodbye and are ready to jump to the next beacon. (Reward: High amount of scrap).

2a. They answer, "No, thank you for the information. We were invaded before, we have learned how to defend our planet." As he says this, he points at a huge cannon-like weapon pointed to the sky surrounded by many war ships. "We have countless amounts of these all around the planet." You smile as you realise this planet will not fall into the hands of the rebels. As you wave goodbye and get ready to jump to the next beacon. (High amount of scrap and Rebel Fleet delayed for 3 turns)

3a. They answer, "Our people live on the other side of the planet, we are just a research team." Wishing you had the time to visit the other side you wave goodbye and prepare to jump to the next beacon. (High amount of scrap and a random augment).

Kennyus, looks like a good event.

The only thing I'd have to say is that, I think in a vanilla FTL event or in another CE event, it's established that the Federation sticks to a protocol of non-interference. (The event in question is the one with the primitive tribal species, overheard in a Zoltan bar.)

Ough yeah, what about if you scan the planet and you find out what's on it (intelligent life), you quickly try to leave but an animal (maybe a FLYING WHALE) knocks into your ship and you crashland on the planet (No damage done since the tree people eventually fix your ship hull). Or, maybe, you get this in a distress beacon where intelligent life (tree people) contact you with their overgrown ships. You can choose 1st option or 2nd option and I'll make the differences!
