what are the rules on using copyrighted materials in FTL? I am wondering because there is a sound I need/ want but it's from a game...

I'm pretty sure as long as you don't use it to make money it's fine. The operative words being "pretty sure".

Finished recording the showcase. Should be going up on Wednesday and Thursday.
I'll drop a link when they are up.

No spoilers or anything but I think you should have a look at the Rotary autocannon.
Seems to be something wrong with that one as it just shows the basic laser model.

Only your 3 mods were installed + all the visual stuff I use (BPAB, better asteroids, extended pursuit indicator,...)
Amateur modder and Let's player (with a substantial FTL and ItB LP featuring countless mods).

I will investigate this. I know 1 of the 2 RAC's work but I guess the other one was unluckily the one that isn't the functioning one.

I came back from investigation. All Rotary autocannons (2 of them) quote the correct animation name and both animations show the correct image and sheet and such- I do not know what caused this bug but I will continue investigation.

You positive it was the Rotary autocannon?

Benefit of recording it all. ;)

Also, I'd vote for increasing the volume of the Gauss weapons. You can hear it very faint. I mean I understand gauss weapons won't make a lot of noise to begin with, but it's a bit odd you would go through the length of creating a custom audio bit and then be able to barely here it. Just a thought.

I will look into the gauss volume sounds- I was also going to improve the overal sound quality of the mg's and autocannons in the later update. I will try to find a fix for the RAC I but at the moment I see nothing wrong with the coding: I will tomorrow test it out on an actual ship in game and see if it has issues.

Hi all, sorry for the long hiatus.
I’ve finished Captains Edn patch for Go Ballistic 1.2, you can download it here.

Just put this patch after the base mod in Slipstream and you're good to go.
