[SHIP] Science vessels

Science vessel type A: The Needle
The Needle is a science vessel made for exploring unknown planetary objects.

Ion Blast II
Basic Laser

Science vessel type B: Scarecrow
Scarecrow is a science vessel that was heavily damages during a pirate attack. All but one crew died and the remaining engi now only has the company of a mindless system repair drone. Because of the damages the ship has NO possibility for stealth.

Note that type B has no support for a stealth system so don't waste your scrap on trying to buy it!

Since FTL doesn't fully support 1x1 size rooms I recommend using 5thHorseman's low O2 icons for a better visual experience. Can be found here:

The ships replace Kestrel A and B.
I hope they feel balanced and provide different game plays. This is my first mod so give me feedback if there's something you don't like or if there's something you like!

Feel free to put that mod into yours, though it will change the icons for every ship.

Also, there's a nicer (IMO) low-o2 image on the 2nd page of my thread.

This looks promising, I'll give it a try for sure! I really like the art style and the battle worn effect you got.

Could you package the two files into one so if you want both ships all you have to do is install one file? All you have to do is merge the .xml.append files and all of the folders in the directories, and it's not that hard if you understand FTL modding. If you really need, I could do it for you.
