I can't get EL to work. There's a problem with the textures. Most of the weapons textures are blank or are mostly blank with a red particle-looking thing. I've deleted everything (mods, slipstream, and game) and reinstalled multiple times, but with the same result. I've loaded El and the EL texture pack in the correct order, and experimented with different orders. In one case I didn't load the texture pack at all, but nothing has worked. What am I doing wrong?

So I'm able to run CE just fine, but the EL addon doesn't work. It terminates my game with a C++ error. aI'vr tried redownloading it multiple times, but it doesn't seem to work.

Your FTL does not have access to enough memory in order to cache all the images EL adds. The solution is to allocate more memory to FTL. You can do this in various ways depending on your OS and personall preferences. Some ways might involve using third party software. Use a search engine to find out how to allocate more memory to FTL and EL might work. If that is too much trouble consider not using EL.


It's not an issue with the mod, it's an issue with the game.

All of that is intentional. Engi repair ships only have rudimentary, seperated medbays, They heal their crew with engi medbots dispersal. Breach bomb I isn't obtainable in vanilla either.


Uh, I'm back responding to a pretty old post.
Not sure adaptive focus beam is meant to have beam length for more than just piercing, really. Superluminal editor shows it has length of 35, while mark 1 and mark 2 beams have length 1.
When fully 'chained', it easily surpasses glaive/other powerful beams as its charge time is 15 sec and power consumption is 3 (compare to 25 sec cooldown / 4 power consumption of glaive).
Of course you're the author and if you think that's intentional, that's ok.

The second bug I encountered quite a few times (maybe it was reported before) is that sometimes defence drones don't shot missiles, but instead are constantly rotating their lasers like a compass with a magnet placed nearby.
I don't have a screenshot or a video, but I'll try to obtain one if needed.

Also, I think reward for killing the ever-cloning bounty hunter on a automated ship should yield more reward, as it's damn hard to defeat most of the time and jumps away with ease. Some weapon or augment perhaps?

That's the effect of enemies having the defence scrambler augment.

The threat that this ship poses is pretty relative, since most of the time it can't really damage hull. The reward for destroying the ship is higher then average already as far as I remember.

Well, I didn't really think that could be a feature, not a bug. Thanks for the explanation.
About the bounty hunter - maybe that's because I always met the him pretty early.

I absolutely love Captain's edition and very much look forward to trying 'Hyperspace Admirals'.

I have played this mod for maybe be a hour but I really like the new things added. I installed it and SMM patch it in. however there are some graphical bugs. All the new weapon(s) (graphics) and all the crew expect the avatar AI are black boxes and the ship graphics are either missing or slightly glitched. Can anyone help?

Remember to download the CE Resource Pack and patch it before Captains Edition.

I did downlaod and patch CE resource pack before the Captains edition as far as I can remember.

Hi all. I didn't write anything for a long long while, but recently when I got to AI sector using FED B ship with very basic stuff after few jumps got a killing game crash which also deleted my actual run. Nothing else happened. Below I present to you crash log:

Morover, I met (I think it was auto ship) few runs ago. He had two ion drones. One of them was broken like always when smth happens with drone prefix (he didn't shoot, just moved around). Im using up to date Endless Loot addon for standard CE.


And last thing. I very like idea of a quarantined sectors, but Ive been thinking why only humans join to my crew in events in that sector. Is it possible to equalize chances for all races or make some specific events for some races to spawn, or make some other types of quarantined sectors for other races?
