Is there any way to tell if CE is enabled when you open up the game? I feel like nothing has changed... but the patching with slipstream seemed to be fine.

You can tell CE is enabled when the title screen shows the CE title screen and not the regular one.

Hm, in that case it's definitely not enabled. I'm not sure whoa I'm doing wrong, I have it checked and coming 2nd (1st is the resource pack)... any ideas?

When using slipstream to restore to vanilla, does it restore to AE? the title screen looks to plain to me, but that might be because of CE's epic one.

It restores to the state your game was in when first patching mods with SMM, so usually that will be AE (unless you installed the mod manager really long ago and didn't make a clean SMM install for AE.)

The log appears to be in order, basically this should work (I tried myself, for me it work fine). I don't know, there might be something wrong with your SMM install, unpatching all mods and reinstalling the manager might help, that or reinstalling both FTL and the manager.

Could it be that Steam is repatching the game because it gets a version mismatch in the data file and so redownloads it? Not sure how steam copes with mods like that. Try disabling updates for FTL and patching it again.

Hi having a little bit of trouble

There seems to be a problem with the textures and I'm not sure what's wrong

also the nebula is having a huge bugout as well with the image looking like squares

There's your problem. Endless Loot requires a few extra things to get running properly.
