Re: Requesting weapon

I was using 6/7/8 as an example. I don't remember the precise number, but it was somewhere between 5 and 9. I think it also varies with weapon type. See the more detailed post here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=14528&p=45740#p45740 (to stop me typing it out twice)

Re: I need some help.

It's not about having more or less frames. It's about having a precise number that the game will accept. I remember on one of my weapons, I could have 6 or 8 frames in one segment of the animation, but if I put 7 it would break. Seriously. The game is that picky. So you just have to keep experimenti...

Re: Requesting weapon

Pretty sure no power is not possible. It will need to use at least 1.

Re: Calling all modders

Well, do whatever needs to be done. The console animation doesn't need to be anything erally complex, just wibbling the arms about like in the stock game can be made to work if the 'consoles' are of the right type. Don't forget that the consoles themselves don't get an animation, only a glow, and ap...

Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL: Overdrive

Those websites tend to be optimised for filesize so they can lose image quality. Instead, you should just get a program for it. I recommend unFreez, which is just a standalone exe and does the job easily enough: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?xycnnh8oih5ftnu that being said, the original imag...

Re: Boarding Mission Event Idea

You would need to a) create a new enemy for it - including all the graphics, blueprints etc, and b) write a new event which will summon that enemy and have different rewards conditional to killing the crew or the station.

Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL: Overdrive

The difference is that for GIFs the software already exists, and is easy to use with very straightforward and nice user interface. The one I linked, you litearlly drag in the images, set the delay time between them, and hit the make gif button. Takes like 5 seconds. For PNGs, to animate them, they w...

Re: [MOD][WIP] FTL: Overdrive

It really depends on how easy each of the processes are: PNG 1. Create a set of individual frames for your animated image 2. Load those frames into a strip with correct spacing, or give them file names which will work in order 3. Open up your mod files, spend time creating and testing animation shee...

Re: Calling all modders

The duplicate / triplicate images are because some races have non-static attack animations, e.g. mantis.
Not sure about running, skip it for now and see if it comes up ingame...

any, that's looking really good so far :)

Re: I need some help.

In FTL, the "boss ship's <insert ANYTHING here>" is likely as not hardcoded, and doesn't work like the rest of the game. Try basing an animation off a standard weapon.
