The way Infinite Space is designed, difficulty cannot scale, so both easy and hard encounters exist together. I haven't looked at the file, but the problem sounds to me like interlaced .png files, which are no longer supported in 1.6.x. The images probably just need to be saved as non-interlaced .png in order to work.

This is an old bug with the ZOLTAN_FREE_AUGMENT event that I've seen reported many times. I guess the 1.6.x patch never fixed it.

Ship pack has been updated for FTL 1.6.

The hangar needed fixed, so it would display Type R, A, and D instead of A, B, and C.
