I suposse it is a question of taste, i personally dont like any mod that has a crappy ship hull design in it, because that is an important part of the mod. If i remember right, u only need to select "xml" as languaje of the text file you are modifying in notepad++, automatically the editor will color every tag with different color, and it will recognize the xml coding trees puting a mark between every tag group and so on. Modding with FTL imp...

I just remember experimenting with this time ago for my mod, and in the end i decided not to change the artillery ui images, dont know why, maybe because of the same reason u explained 5th xD. Too many headaches for just change 4 dumb graphics.. lol. :lol:

I always thought that the artillery beams reduces 10 seconds on every level, not percentajes.. everyday i learn something new. :) u can put the cooldown you want, the only thing is , u cant change the ui graphic since its hardcoded, and it will be really weird and sometimes it will confuse you more ...

I love the ideas, but as a Star Trek fan, i dont like the mod, since the ships you are creating doesnt exist in the Star Trek universe.. xD (The Galaxy class is a heavy cruiser designed for exploration, it never was a "Battle" cruiser). And of course, they cant use cloak, for example. So, ...

Yeah, a lot of people requested that in the past, but a weapon editor will be by far harder to make than superluminal, besides you will need a test-option to see the weapon working in real-time, and that is really hard to make (almost i think, maybe im wrong). Said tons of times, its not easy to design a ship in photoshop, gimp or paint.net, its far easier to use a 3d modelling program like sketchup, specially the design you posted in the first post, once u learn how to use skecthup (lets say a few hours of learning..) u can make fast designs without worr...
